I'm on an Xbox one. It does not give an error code. It begins trying to load my saved game and then it kicks me out to the Xbox home screen.

Thank you for the information.

Even if you have done some of the steps below, please do them again, but in this order.

Uninstall the game, clear the local saved data, reset your console, and then reinstall the game.

After uninstalling the game, clear the local saved games.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select: Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they'll still be saved to the cloud.

Then, reset the console:

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Finally, reinstall the game.

Can you load up an earlier save and try it again? I think the game keeps 2 auto-saves. I'm in my 5th season of career mode, and haven't experienced this problem. Sorry.

I just tried that and I'm always player 1 but it was worth a try and some how it was saved on player 2. So I started the game and just had it running for abour 1min and then quit it. after that I could start it on my player 1 as usual

I had the same exact issue except all data disappeared in journal unable to select any chapters in co-op mode but everything resumed properly in single player mode.

Tried loading the 2nd player profile. It accessed the last checkpoint... Which is different from what was last saved on my profile.... Let the game sit for a bit.

Loaded the usual 1st profile same issue...😑
