When I put a disc in it will sound like it will load then cancel repeatedly anyone help ?

Is this happening with every disc?

If it is and you are using sleep mode try changing it to shutdown.(The settings for Sleep mode can render a small number of consoles unable to read discs.)

Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.

Select Shutdown (energy saving) mode.

Perform a hard power cycle by holding down the Xbox button  on the console for 10 seconds. Once the console has completely shut down, press the Xbox button  on the console again to restart it.

Try your disc again. Wait a few seconds to see if the console recognizes it. If the console can now read the disc, you can revert to Sleep mode.

If the previous solution didn't fix the issue, your console will need a repair

Okay in that case you will most likely have to replace the disc

Try a full power cycle just in case

Full Power Cycle

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

Hello, its only happening to one disc but I've made alot of progress and dont want to lose it all im not sure why this has happened

So my Xbox One had the disk grinding issue too. I was able to get it to read discs though.

Listening to the 'grinding' sound - it seemed like it was the motor that loads the disc into the slot. It seemed like it kept trying to load the disc even after it was all the way in the drive. On a hunch I put the disc barely in the drive - no enough to
grab the disc but enough for the 'loading' motor to start running. After a second or two I put the disc all the way in. This time the disc was loaded normally and started to spin up. I'm still going to replace the unit, but at least I can play the games I
purchased on disc until the advanced replacement unit arrives.

I have had a issue before when I put the disc in it sounds like its scraping edges
