When I purchase a game add-on, does it become available for all profiles in this console, just ...

Hi,

I have an adult profile in my Xbox 360 console, and my son has a child profile. When I purchase games through Xbox Live, the game instantly becomes available for all profiles in my console. (I use this to purchase games online for my son).

Now, I recently purchased a game add-on with the same reasoning, but the add-on does not show up for my son's profile. Wasn't it suppose to work just as the purchased games, I mean, becoming available for all profiles?

Specific issue you are having: My brother bought the Magic 2013 Expansion, which should have unlocked it for play with my profile as well. However, it is only available to play with his profile; my profile does not register the purchase of the expansion. This
is contrary to the information given when purchasing the expansion. Namely, "Access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console."

Just Dance Unlimited per profile instead of per console?

When I purchase a game I expect my entire family to be able to use it. When I purchase a subscription, I expect my entire family to be able to use it as well. I have 4 people in my household that play Just Dance 2016 and I purchased the Gold version specifically
for the 3 months of Just Dance Unlimited. I loaded it to the profile that was currently logged in so we could try it out and play and now I've discovered that it's not available on any of the other profiles. That's disappointing. It's a little ridiculous to
make a family that all use the same console have to pay for more than one add-on for the games they all play.

 

It depends on the add on and the game. For instance, usually maps will work for all players. Which add on for which game did you purchase?

 

Ive had the same happen to me my friend uses my xbox when I don't use it and she bought the call of duty ghosts season pass on her account for us both and now it won't work on mine.

 

Season passes are account specific.You would have to buy the season pass as well.
