When I pre order a game will it show up in my bank as a pending transaction right before...

It shows up in the transactions for my xbox account. The transaction is pending on my credit card statement, but i have purchased games and dlc etc and been able to play them while the transactions are pending before.

I checked my bank and there’s a transaction for $60 on 12/5/22 and hogwarts legacy was the only game I pre ordered/paid for at that time for that price but when I went to Xbox transaction there’s no payment for hogwarts legacy it’s like I never pre ordered/paid for it

Let's check again. For pre-ordered transactions, we will be charged 10 days prior to the game release. On your bank statement when was the charge taken place? Is it pending or posted?

Also, can you please check the status of the game again via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders?

When you pre-order something the first charge is just to verify that you have funds in your payment method. This charge is going to be reversed

Once the game is close to be released, you're going to be charged for the full price

No, Microsoft will charge you for the game around 10 days before release. Just make sure you have the funds in your account before release of the game.
