What exactly are the devices they’re playing with? What is their Minecraft version? Do they play the same Minecraft edition or version?

The same thing is happening to me as well. 2 of my personal friends cannot see me online, nor can they see eachother, but my other xbox friends are online too.

Funnily enough I met some of my best high school friends through Minecraft. I was new to the game and didnt understand how servers worked, but a friend of a friend said he knew of a server we could go on. Server owner and its userbase were a bunch of kids
from a different elementary school that went to our middle School. Slowly we started sitting together at lunch, and then I bought an Xbox to play cod with them. To this day I think mw3 had some of my favorite gaming moments because it was the first time we
really played and communicated with eachother through an xbox party

Yes, when I mentioned "turned on cookies", I was referring to switching off the "Block all Cookies" option. With the "Block All Cookies" option turned off and my VPN turned on, I logged into my Xbox profile using my Edge and Safari browsers (I did not want Chrome anymore) successfully. Turning on/off my VPN did not appear to make a difference; however, turning on/off the "Block All Cookies" option did.

I also tried switching Edge to use Safari and vice a versa, and I was still successful in logging into my Xbox profile in either browser. I also tried staying logged in my Xbox profile in my Edge browser, and then logging into the Xbox app (to see maybe the app could detect my Xbox profile already logged in), but that did not work. More than likely, it does not work that way. I still see the "We can't sign you in. cookies are blocked". This is with the "Block All Cookies" option on Safari turned off.

It seems odd that my coworker also has an iPhone, with grandchildren all having iPhones, and all of their Xbox apps work fine. It is also possible that he and the grandchildren may be running an old iOS version.

Go to your profile settings and check that the "Profile Sharing" option is not set to "blocked".
