Please try to follow these steps. Make sure to close any games and applications before proceeding.

Press Windows Key + R to open Run

Type "control.exe keymgr.dll" and hit Enter. This should open Credential Manager

Click "Windows Credentials."

Scroll down to "Generic Credentials" and look for every single one that starts with "Xbl". This includes XblGrts, Xbl| and Xbl_Ticket.

Then remove them all one by one.

Ensure that you are on the most recent version/update of the Xbox app Microsoft Store app > Downloads > Get updates/Update all

Ensure that you have updated your PC to the most recent version of Windows, including optional updates

PC Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates > Install

Open the Microsoft Store by pressing Windows Key + S, typing Microsoft Store, and selecting App Settings.

Click on Repair and then Reset the app.

Repeat the same process for the Xbox App

Restart Your Device:

After repairing and resetting both apps, restart your device.

Sign back into both the Xbox App and the Microsoft Store using the same email.

Not a lot of people know this, but unlike other stand-alone game apps on PC, the Beta App is actually an extension of sorts of the built in Windows Store. You don't even need the App running to launch your games.

Because of the way the app works with the Windows Store, all error codes are actually Windows error codes, not PC Game Pass errors.

If you get an error it usually means there is an issue with your Windows installation.

Looks like "Save to my PC" does work. Viewed my Music library through the desktop and the downloaded music is there. When I click on the file the Xbox Music app launches but I get an error "Can't play file - error code 0xc1010091. So my problem isn't
that "Save to my PC" doesn't work - my problem is that the content downloaded to my phone from the Xbox Music store doesn't show up on my computer when I synch it with the Windows Phone App for Windows 8 or if I copy it over using the desktop.

I have not seen this error code before for Gears 5, I would definitely report this by going here Error Codes: PC and submitting a
ticket.

Make sure all windows components are up to date, also try launching the game from your start menu instead of the xbox beta app to see if it give the error.

I have the problem with the Xbox app on PC not starting as well. I did all the steps you listed, inclulding Terminating, Resetting and uninstalling. I also updated the latest patches for Windows 11 and resterted the PC. The Xbox app installer runs, then I click 'Let's Play' and the Xbox app opens but just stays black with the white Xbox logo in the middle of the window. The window then closes after about 30 seconds and the installer then says 'We encountered a problem', with error code 0x8027025A.

I am at a loss to what else to do here.
