When I launch fortnite it puts me in the game but then kicks me out like 2 minutes later how ...

Fortnite Update 24/8/18

Hi,

Since I did the latest Fortnite update yesterday (24/8/18) I haven't been able to get into the game at all. Every time I attempt to launch the game, it just kicks me out without even bringing up the loading screen. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Xbox cuts off if im not playing online

When i am playing online I stay on the internet fine but when I am waiting for something to finish downloading it kicks me offline after 20 minutes or when I am playing a single player and trying to talk to my friends in a party I hear them at first then
they stop talking it kicks me out of the party and I rejoin and it kicks me out after 10 more seconds. Also when I play a single player game I stay connected to live for about 10 minutes then it kicks me off then I reconnect and it does the same thing everyday
for the last month I dont know what to do.

 

There are some services outages reported about fornite, related with the last update, you can see the reports here there are some users having the same problem than you, this probably will be fixed soon.

It may be something with your internet connection or the way that Fortnite is installed on your console. Try to power cyclethrough your Xbox
or do a quick reset with your router.

For the current official status of Fortnite's game servers, you can visit the
Epic Games Public Status. Upon reviewing the website, it seems that there were reports of Xbox users' games crashing on September 27th. However, it seems that this issue has since been resolved.

Sorry to hear about the issue you're dealing with currently.

Believe it or not, this has been a kind of common issue when dealing with Fortnite because of it's constant updates.

It could be a network problem, but I have had many instances where it was resolved by having the affected party uninstall and reinstall the game.

If you haven't done that yet, then I'd go ahead and give that a shot following the steps here on

Uninstall Xbox One games or apps to free hard drive space.

Try that troubleshooting step and let us know how that helped in resolution of the issue
