    When I first boot up xbox series x, games will not load up in the first few minutes but...


    This started happening a few months ago, not quite sure the issue. When I first boot up my xbox series x, none of my gamepass games will load up nor can I download any games, I click an icon and nothing happens then I eventually get a message saying game failed to load. After a few minutes all of sudden everything will start working. When I first start I'll click a game but nothing will happen, I tried loading up an app on it but gets stuck on the home screen then shows error loading app.

    If turn off my xbox then use it again a xbox few hours later everything works right, it's only when I don't load it up in like a day or so where these issues arise.

    I do have an ethernet cord plugged in for it. After about 3 minutes everything works perfectly.

    Honestly, not quite sure the issue at all, seems to be a very strange thing.

    Hi Geridious, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    Newer Games will likely spin for the first few minutes after booting up, If it continues to spin over the period of 15+ Minutes it is likely another issue.
