Changing the email will not affect the subscription.

Thanks for the link, but I'm not looking to change my account email address. It's still my account, it's just linked to his Gold membership. I don't want to have to change my email that has been associated with it for the last decade or so.

So, I've deleted my profile from his Xbox One, but I'm still trying to figure out how to take my account and apply my own gold subscription to it without being penalized at all.

I'm starting to get myself confused here ha ha!

I have just one account this one. I used to have a different name and email address but I changed it all over when I changed my handle a few years ago.

Basically Proofs and MSA all have my gmail which is my new account listed. I can see payments for my continual subscription when I log in under my gmail.

When I log into my old email account (hotmail) the xbox subscription is still there but when I follow any cancellation links it just errors cause nothing is tied to that account but for some odd reason it's still appearing there as well.

Can I change the email on the overall Microsoft account (that the Xbox profile is linked to) to my child's email, and then setup a new Microsoft account with my original email so I can then just use my Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) subscription from that?

My issue is I need to keep my Office subscription with my email address - - which is also the address of the Microsoft account overall. And my email / Microsoft account is linked to the Xbox profile used by my child.

Gamertags/xbox profiles can NOT be moved between microsoft accounts. Even if you change the email (as seen

here) it will still log you into the same microsoft account, but with just a different email. You can only change TO an email that is NOT Hotmail, Live or Outlook.

If I associate a new email address with my Microsoft account and then remove my existing email from this account, couldn't I then create a new Microsoft account with my previous email address? This way my son could continue with the same Microsoft account/Xbox
subscription under his new email address. He would then retain all the benefits of his existing gamer profile which he has gained over the past 8 years.

You could do that and create a new microsoft account and xbox account with that email but he will start fresh with 0 everything and no subscription.

The gamertag and all purchases, subscriptions and gamerpoints and save game progress will stay with the microsoft account that it's on and there's no way to move that to another microsoft account no matter what you do: may that be email moving or anything.
