When I am in a party using XBOX App/Game Bar my Wi-Fi disconnects.

Just to confirm, did you tried using a completely different Wi-Fi network?
For this purpose you can share mobile data via Wi-Fi hotspot or USB connection and connect your PC in that way.

Also, may I know if your Wi-Fi network use both 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz band?
If yes, can you try disabling the 5.0Ghz option?

In the meantime, this can be a bit odd but try this:
Open the Control Panel in Windows.
After opening the control panel, set the “View by” on the top-right corner to “Large icons“.
Click on the “Network and Sharing Center” option.
Here, click on the “Change adapter settings” link on the left panel.
Now, right-click on the active network adapter and select “Properties“.
Go to the “Networking” tab.
Here, uncheck the “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” option.
Click on the “Ok” button to save changes.
Then close all the windows, restart your PC and try again

Are you able to test your account on a different computer? (Could be a friend’s PC)

Let’s try to isolate the problem even more:

A. Delete the registry keys associated with the game bar :

Press Windows key+R then type regedit and press Enter.
Go to this path (expand the folders using the little ">")

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Once there delete all the keys except (Default), restart your PC and try again

B. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
Restart the PC and try again

C. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

Hello, my day has been fine. I have tried basically every solution under the sun.

-Reinstalling Network Drivers

-Updating everything on my laptop

-Using a wired connection instead of wireless

This was before I realised it was an issue with the XBOX app itself. For that I tried:

-Getting all updates for Xbox app downloaded

-Repairing, resetting and reinstalling the Xbox app

-Clean install of windows which the issue persisted through meaning that after a few days of redownloading my apps I have come here, as it was my last resort.

I have tried joining parties on Xbox app and it was fine. This is an issue with windows app and windows app only. My other, older laptop is unusable however due to its lcd screen leaking so I have yet to try it on that. I doubt it would be the same as my current laptop, as every other forum I came across stated that it is only on one device. And my phone is doing just fine. I really need help with this. If it goes on any longer I might just snap from stress 😅.

In the meantime and just to confirm, if you try joining to the party using the Xbox mobile app or if you try using a different PC, the same happens or not at all?
