When downloading a Game can we get storage options

Yes you can store downloaded games and installed games onto a USB drive.

Before downloading you should get the option to change storage device unless this was changed by the latest dashboard update.

I'm trying to get this game to download to my 16GB USB drive. When I go to my account history and select download again, I don't get option to change my storage device. It just shows Save to: Hard Drive, and Hard Drive is greyed out.

This game is only 3.68 GB. and there is nothing on my USB drive...Anyone know how to change my storage device when trying to redownload a game?

Sorry to hear you're having problems with the update. I think we should start by clearing your cache memory first. Don't worry, this will not delete any account information or anything important.

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory

Clearing the cache temporarily removes:

Previously downloaded game updates. You will be prompted to download these updates again the next time you try to play the games.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

Select Clear System Cache

When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

Clearing the Xbox 360 cache does not remove:

Your gamertag

Content that you have downloaded

Game files

Console software updates

You really are a 'technoweenie' - You NEVER get full storage space on a device as advertised...

They designed it knowing external storage would be a future option so why worry about it? If you can afford a £500 console, followed by all the games you have paid to download shows you can afford to buy an external drive.

They have said external storage can be anything the internal storage can do. Cloud storage which we can use has unlimited storage, but games will not be able to be played from the cloud, but can be downloaded if you have a digital licence. Leaving cloud
storage for gave saves, music and video.
