When does the XBOX One comes to the Netherlands???

I'm in the same boat as I'm from Finland.. since there was no news on the subject, I just imported from Germany and will sell my finnish preorder to a friend when it eventually arrives. Works perfectly and was easy and fast.

 

And when I import the One from the USA? It costs $499,99 dollars, that's €376,89 euro's. Or will it actually also cost €499,99 euro's... Will it be a benefit? Shipping is free!

 

Do you know the compleet list for "Games with Gold"?

 

Don't do that. You will need a power converter and there will be most likely some taxes/import fees if you try to get one from US. Your best bet is importing from Germany. Amazon.de has great and fast service and it's easy to deal with them even if you don't
speak german.

While you might save (I doubt not much after fees) buying from the US, but overall I wouldn't. As mentioned the power brick being different but then there's also warranty issues. Much easier to ship it back to germany than ship it to US.

Most people I know (in Finland) imported from either Germany or France, none had any issues so far. From UK you will need an adapter for the bit that goes to the wall outlet, but those are cheap.

 

And what is your experience with the One? I'm reallly curious...! Is it that slower then the "You know what"!

 

Games with gold is not yet on One, coming later this year when there are actually games to give out for free

My experience is really good so far. I don't have a PS4 to actually compare, but I've seen and played both at a local gaming expo and out of the launch line up of both devices, I think X1 had much better line up of games. Also something like Ryse doesn't
fall short to anything on PS4 in graphical detail. It's no secret though that PS4 is more powerful, but I'm not worried about that, 360 was less powerful than the 360 too and it didn't make it any less enjoyable

I'm waiting for Thief (with reservations ) and Titanfall in near future, currently playing Ryse, Killer Instinct and Peggle 2 for the most parts, with some occasional Xbox Fitness and Just Dance 2014 with the lady

But in short, I'm really happy with the purchase. Voice commands and hand gestures work great, controller is great, games look and play great. I would buy it all over again while the PS4 still doesn't interest me personally. I have a gaming PC so the whole
power-argument isn't really why I got a next gen console to begin with.

I'm looking out for Titanfall. I played the game on the Gamescom in Germany. It was an experience i wouldn't fast forget! Fresh new gameplay with a lot of action!

What i'm really worry about is the definition of the games. the One 720p, PS4 1080p... I really don't get that what MS is doing here.... What's your opinion??

 

The Xbox One can do 1080p, Microsoft just doesn't force it unlike what they tried last generation (if I remember correctly). My opinion about it is simply don't worry too much about resolution, worry about good games. There's so much focus on 1080p and 60
FPS and people claim it's impossible, it's not. Ryse is 900p upscaled to 1080p and looks awesome, Forza Motorsport 5 is 1080p and looks awesome, they both look awesome. The Xbox One isn't 720p, there's games in 720p and 900p(Ryse) that are upscaled to 1080p
and there's 1080p(Forza Motorsport 5) native games. The reason why not all games are 1080p on Xbox One is simply because Microsoft doesn't force this on developers. Also ever thought that there might be something wrong on the developer's side? Call of Duty:
Ghosts is the biggest example of that at the moment, my high end gaming PC and PlayStation 4 had FPS drops... They can run Battlefield 4 without a problem... My PC can run Crysis 3 without any FPS lag but Call of Duty: Ghosts is too much? :S seriously? Also
there's a lot of games that are fun not even made by AAA developers and they don't have the best graphics , when u have spare money try picking up a game you never thought of picking up for once and you might be surprised of how awesome it can be . In
the end gameplay matters the most to me. Oh yeah before I forget, got a PlayStation 4 and played on the Xbox One at a few events so I do have experience with both systems .

 

That isn't the case though. PS4 also has games that arn't 1080p and Xbox One also has games that are 1080p. Xbox One natively outputs 1080p, some games might not be 1080p, but those are scaled up then.

It's about what the developers decide and a good balance. Ryse for example runs at 900p, but easily looks as good or better than anything PS4 has at any resolution if you ask me. Graphical fidelity is about so much more. Minecraft at 1080p will never look
better than a "real game" at 720p It's a bit exaggerated example, but shows the point.

Take a look at early 360/PS3 games and compare them to end of generation 360 and PS3 games, it's like a night and day difference. Devs learned to make games so much prettier and more resource effective over the years, I don't see why it would be any different
now.

So far, Titanfall has been shown on PC only. All demo units to date have been PCs. If you have a PC you may want to pick it up on that instead of importing a console ahead of regional launch, especially since you say this:

If that is your primary concern, buy a platform where you have control over it.

Thnx for all your reply's. This makes it much easier to buy a XBOX One. All those negative news about the One! I'm sick of that.

I allready thought that MS don't want to rush with the better graphics. Because then they blew the One up again. Just like the 360. The game will be better in the end. I knew that. Because that happend already with the 360.

So al you guys think that I must get it from Germany? Will I also get my warranty?
