    When does the warranty of my equipment start?


    I plan to buy an XBox Series X as a gift but I was told that the warranty starts upon order via Microsoft Store. Which means the warranty would have started even before I received it. Is that correct?

    Also, what does registering your device do? I currently own a Xbox Series S which I bought on 18 February 2022 (physical store) and activated it the next day (19 February 2022). Not sure when I registered the unit but the warranty will only end 18 March 2023.

    I'm a little confused as to when the warranty starts. Also, is the extended warranty worth it?

    When does the warranty of my equipment start?

    The warranty starts soon as the barcode is first scanned. When it comes to resellers (Amazon 3rd party sellers, eBay, etc) the warranty starts when they purchased it. You'll want to make sure you purchase anything that offers warranty directly from an authorized retailer to ensure you receive max warranty time.

    Now, when registering a device, this provides a profile to the device. You can review warranties, file service orders, and/ or replacements alike.

    Max warranty is based on preference. If you can get extended warranty on controllers, I would definitely go that route over a console as controllers are where the real troubles come in when it comes to wear and tear, stick drift, etc.

    Again, an extended warranty is entirely up to the player.

    Unless you purchased an extended warranty with the equipment it would look like you are out of warranty. Hardware does fail over time and 2 years is a decent period of time for a controller.

    I have a question about this game, when equipping items, what does the bonus mean in the bottom right corner? Does this have something to do with the "brand" of the equipment you have equipped? For example, TNT or spinner?

    Yeah but the warranty does not start til the 360 was purchased it does not matter if it was in a warehouse.
