When do I get my Xbox Update preview on my console?

I was recently accepted into the Xbox Update preview program and I am currently in Ring 4. When accepted, am I supposed to get the last update that ring 4 received? Or do I need to wait for the next wave of updates? It has been about 2 weeks and my console
has not updated yet.

New dashboard question

so I have two Xbox ones in my house, mine and my sons
I am in the preview program only and my son is not in any programs
He turned his Xbox on today to see an update which was strange since we both have instant on
He now has the new dashboard and I'm on the original one
How did his Xbox one get update when he isn't in any preview programs? And why is making be not update?

Xbox 360 games and Xbox one

I'm part of the public preview and got an Xbox one yesterday and I want to know when can I play 360 games on my Xbox one? Aldo how do I get updates for Xbox one?

If you were recently accepted, you may need to wait for the next wave of updates to go out. We're unable to guarantee which wave you will be included in or expedite the process, but be sure to hang in there for when the update comes in! Keep in mind that
you can also manually check for updates by navigating to the System settings menu within 'All settings'.

I don't think the updated one guide with the channel listings is included in the latest public update, i had the one guide like in the picture on my console when i had the xbox one update preview installed but had to get my console replaced today so I've
not got the latest preview update anymore and no longer see channels and don't have the option to set my cable box.

I've not had an update from the preview program. i'm not on a second hand console. i don't have the preview program on my console. if it isn't on my console how do i get out of this program? How did i get into it in the first place? i went to the forum
to get help but it said no such group found. i checked my last updates and i've not gotten any updates from a preview program. i'm a little bothered i've been enrolled without me authorizing it.

Hi vvilc0,

That message does not have the ability confirm nor deny if you are in the Preview Program.

I get that same message when I try to open the Preview App on my husband's console. The app is locked to a specific Preview Member on a specific registered console. Any other users on that console, whether in the Preview Program or not, will not be able
to access that app.

When I go to my console, I am able to open the Preview App and do my own testing, but my husband gets the same error when he tries to open the app.

"Why no delta updates"

Sounds like your console is enrolled in the Delta Xbox Insiders preview. If so, you should check the Xbox Insider Forum on Reddit.

The reason you may be getting large 2GB updates is you missed a preview update and the console will download the complete updated OS specific to the Delta preview.

If your only internet access is a phone hotspot I suggest you unenroll from all Insider previews and return the console to the General release OS for xbox consoles.

For example, my console is enrolled in the Alpha skip ahead preview and I do 3-4 updates to the OS a week. It doesn't take long to use 2GB a week just in OS updates.
