    Hello,

    I’ve been trying to screen share my xbox gameplay to my friends on discord through the xbox app by using the “remote play on this device” feature. The goal is so I can have no controller bugs while playing. I don’t want to play from my phone, i want to play from my xbox, but while the gameplay is simultaneously being streamed to my mobile device.

    The problem is, whenever I do that, the controller just doesn’t like me. What happens to the controller:

    • (Pushes L stick in any direction) —> either doesn’t respond or I start to “jitter” walk
    • (Pushes RT or LT) —> it also jitters when being held down (imagine the car in the game only going 10 MPH bc the gas is being spammed). In other words when the trigger is being pressed down, it acts as if the trigger was released, except it releases repeatedly. Think of a modded controller that has modded triggers that shoot really fast. (I’m so sorry it’s hard to explain)
    • ^ But same thing with the D-pad, when being held down it spams itself.
    I couldn’t tell if the controller does this or not on the Home Screen.

    This also could be my connection, but I doubt it (only a little bit)

    I have a gateway I think, but it has Double NAT, and my controller is plugged into the xbox, i don’t play wirelessly.

    Is this something the xbox team has to fix or can I fix this? I’m thinking it could be some router settings that I have to change. Thanks.

    Try that please, and share your feedback to see if that changes something.

    By the way, first try using the record screen feature (not the sharing screen via discord feature) <open the Xbox app, start remote play session > continue anyway (without control) > once you are able to see your Xbox screen on the phone > open iPhone control center, long press on the recording icon and if you have microphone enabled, disable it. Press outside the little windows recently opened and now start recording and give it a new try>

    **I ask the previous first just to try isolate even more the issue, just in case the streaming feature via discord can cause the issue.

    If maybe the issue persists, I can advise you two things more to try:

    1. Factory reset your console but keep games and apps:

    Open Settings > System > Console info > reset, then select keep my games and apps

    2. In case you didn't try it, could be nice perform an offline update for your console.

    In that way Xbox system will be updated from scratch in case there's some cached files that own system can't delete using factory reset.

    This ended up not working, but I did get better latency in the game which is nicer. Thank you for your help, let me know if there are other solutions!

    The controller is connected directly before I start the remote play session. The controller problems happen throughout the remote play session. Thank you for your reply!

    When you start the remote play session, you have connected the controller directly to your console, right?

    Is this happening only when you start the remote play session?

    Double NAT can be a possibility, try fixing this first in order to proceed with another troubleshooting steps:

    You can try also power cyling your console and disable-enable again remote features to see if that helps:

    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

    Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

    Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again
