When are the ToS actually going to be enforced?

I'm getting pretty tired of dealing with these people on xbox. I don't care if they bought your console or games from you Microsoft. People who: use unofficial mouse and keyboard adapters, are plain toxic, and disrupt other players experiences need to be
brought into line.

1. You need to enforce your policy if that means banning them so be it, and if its something like an adapter make it illegal and pressure the company and then hand out hardware bans like with the 360. If they by a console and make a fresh account to play
again that just more money for you and puts a weight behind their actions. If you are planning on actually releasing an adapter yourself at least hurry it up, you said this almost a year ago and still not a word since, aka you decided against it as far as
we know.

2. Toxic behavior needs to eventually lead to actual bans other than communications. If it is seen to be too bad you should ban their accounts. You have the right to, its in your terms of service.

3. Disrupting other players experience by the means of DDoSing, griefing, and/or exploiting should be enforced by you guys. The game devs can't do anything because all the player has to do is make a new account on their home xbox and then they can play any
game they want even if they were to ban their main account. I don't know how familiar you would be with the term "smurf" in gaming. But your system allows players to "smurf" by letting them create brand new accounts and destroy any newer players while also
hiding their identity.

Seriously Microsoft. I am getting pissed at this point. I used to be a loyal xbox fan back in the original and 360, but there's been 0 progress since then. You want to be the face of gaming, but you are afraid to stand up to a 13 year old's mother because
it would effect your image as a company. You want it to be accessible to everyone, but at the same time you need to deny access to people who abuse and misuse your system otherwise other services are going to drag one of your most profitable industries into
the grave.

I don't even take console seriously at this point. I only get mad because people legitimately ruin my experience trying to have fun and just enjoy gaming. There is a reason I mostly play competitive games on PC, and that's because its an even playing field
where ToS for most games actually matter because the game devs have actual pull on their playerbase.

At the very least be more vocal about your opinions on the matter or try to at least give us some kind of acknowledgement that we aren't just suffering from a misguided company.

Poor experience with xbox live and customer service

well technically when you purchase sometjhing not only are you required to say i aggree with the tos in this purchase

it actually says no refunds on this purchase

on the purchase screen

 

when are we going to be able to be adults??

i am absolutely pissed!!..im so sick and tired of these jail like rules...does my battlefield games not say MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY????????..why am i subject to these church like rules????....if im playing minecraft and use foul language..i would expect to
be in trouble...but im online with grown men cussing and swearing up a storm on the mics...when i report someone abusing ...i still see them online and using chat. And these are people me and a few others reported...im finding that you dont really support
people trying to clean up...as you do not suspend people doing things that are really abusive...i never threatened nor harrassed anyone EVEN THOUGH the admin or dice server isnt doing theyre job....NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO SIT ON AN XBOX 1 ALL DAY TO REPORT IGNORANCE!!!!.....i
play nothing but bf series and forza...and have yet to not hear cussing swearing...im done...it happens again..i will stop accounts..and return all 4 xbox 1s...and will appeal to have my money returned...youre rules and regs are ****.....WHY PUT AN ADULT LABEL

I can understand your frustration but there is nothing people can do really. The enforcement team enforces what they know based on what is given to them. ToS is there to say what happens, it's not an exact science but its there. Sorry you're having bad
experiences with this but its how it is

 

Enforcement can’t see everything all the time. The best we as players can do is report any and all violations we come across.

 

You say that but I have never once got a punishment message for a report. And I can't tell you how many people I see with "Need's work" reputation.

Also DDoSing is becoming so common place that you cannot join random peoples parties anymore unless it's a coop game.

The problem is MS does not give out bans. They slap you on the wrist and take away your comms or lower your reputation. The only ban I've ever seen was when a vocal friend with a large following contacted MS directly with video proof of a DDoSer who opened
admitted to DDoSing on social media and even linked his accounts and was only banned for selling his account.

Microsoft has taken no action to prevent or punish mouse and keyboard users who legitimately post content on youtube of them using a 3rd party adapter, which is against ToS, in games. The fact that companies haven't even been confronted by MS tells me how
little they care about their players.

 

Offical mouse and keyboard support is coming in a future update and itll be up to the developers to decide how to segregate the different control schemes (should they choose to do so). Perhaps that’s one reason they’ve been lax on enforcing it.

 

If the Enforcement forums were still a thing you'd definitely see that they XBLPET are handing out a good number of bans out there. Nowadays you might find those users complaining on twitter. But the important part is that the XBLPET are doing their jobs.
But investigating the amount of reports they get daily can take time. If you report these users that you see breaking the Terms of Use they will be investigated by enforcement.
