When are digital copies of new games made available?

Is there a set time of day that a digital new release becomes available to download for the Xbox One? I'm thinking of getting Destiny in digital format, and wondered how this works, as I've never bought a day one digital copy of a game.

Sell game rights

When I used to finish playing a game, I would sell the hard copy as used to help fund the buying of new games. Now there are digital copies, can I sell my digital copy?

 

Suddenly got 6 360-games and 3 others listed on my brand new X1 - how did that happend?

Any digital copies of 360 games that you own will automatically show on your ready to install list if they are made backwards compatible.

On the date the game is released I must add.. ALSO rumor has it that pre DLing might be available by then meaning it will be ready to go on Midnight 12:00:01 in your location

 

So, pre downloading is at the discretion of the publisher, I assume. In this case, it would already be on the console, and simply unlocks when my clock hits midnight?

 

Pre-downloading is not yet a feature so we don't know how that would work, if at all.

Downloads are usually made available at midnight in the country you're in although for multi-timezone countries like the US it uses Pacific time.
