When adding friends, their gamertag just says pending never sends request to other player.

Hello! I'm having trouble sending friend requests from my Xbox 360 as well as online.

I'm not sure what's wrong. I can't even get friend requests from other people. When I send someone a request, they never get it, and it just constantly says "pending" on my list.

Can I do something to fix this?

cannot add friend

my friend at school gave me his gamertag, and i can see hid profile fine.

when I send friend request, it says sent.

I look at pending requests and it's not there, and he says he never gets it.

I have tried this at least 20 times. my dad tried to help, and couldn't figure it out either.

when he adds me, it does the same thing. but i can add other friends just fine.

Can't add people from xbox ONE on my 360

I have xbox 360 and when I go to add someone that has a xbox one it says an error. If they send me a message and I request them from there it says pending from my end but to them im on their friends list. But it still says we aren't friends from my end.
Also, if they send me a friend request I never get it?

 

Also, I checked my settings and made sure anyone can add me.

 

It will say "pending" until they accept it.

Are you sure that the other player involved is not receiving your friend request? The request will show as 'pending' until accepted by the other party. It may just be that they haven't accepted your invitation, so it would pay to try this with another player
and ask them whether they received the invitation.

If you would like - feel free to test it by sending me a friend request to the Gamertag shown on my profile to the left there. If you can confirm by posting here when you've sent the invitation, I will let you know whether or not it was received.
