When a game "clicks."

So, you've been playing a game for a while, unable to understand what makes it so good and then BAM, all the gears are in place.

Any games like that for you? I think I finally found it with Skyrim. Partly because of just endless wondering and horsesssss. Albeit, that doesn't fix my big issues with the game, but at least I can enjoy it.

Could you try using a USB Flash Drive configured as a memory device to recover your profile to? This would help us determine if the internal flash memory is the culprit.

Already done. Im almost positive its only with my profile. It doesnt freeze if Im not hooked up to the internet. And I can still talk to my friends whens its "frozen"

 

I generally know when I'm on to something good straight away.

 

Resonance of Fate. Took a while for me to get it but when it all fell in place I was hooked, put 100's of hours into it on 360, it's not for everyone but I thought it was a fantastic game once the penny dropped.

 

I took a chance on Dragon's Dogma, when I booted the game up I was gutted, after about an hour I turned it off and decided that I would offload it the next day, the next day came and I decided to give it another shot, then it hit me, it's a great game, it's
a more focused Skyrim with better combat and it's the best western style RPG I have played in a long time.

Final Fantasy XIII for me, surprisingly. I didn't enjoy it that much at first, but it grew on me and I ended up loving it. My favorite 360 game by far. <3 Shame that Lightning Returns is the last time we'll see Lightning. I'm really enjoying playing through
it. Excellent game, but for me, XIII will be my favorite XIII game, though 13-2 and LR are really good too.

On a side note, I wouldn't have ever played FFXIII if it wasn't for my friend giving it to me on my birthday. Such an awesome friend. I love dat guy. I'm so glad I played it.

Same here, but I know what he is talking about. I thought the same about Skyrim. I was really enjoying it and I was wondering through the forest and I came across a troll and at the time the graphics were looking good and I was just like "this game is awesome!".

 

Valkyria Chronicles. Very different style of rpg but after I got used to it great game

 

I have to agree with Mafivee on this as well...i generally know within the first 5 to 10 minutes of playing a game whether i'm going to get into it or not and anything after those 5 to 10 minutes is all bonus...like right now The Witcher 2 has me amazed
and keeps me wanting to come back....games like GTA IV and DMC 4 i tried to let draw me in and just never could no matter how much i searched for something to keep me going.

 

Kingdoms of Amalur was anther game. I hated it at first but after ten hrs i loved it. The combat and rpg mechanics started to really shine and the world was pretty varied.

 

Endless wondering? Maybe you should read up on the elderscrolls wiki or something if you're always this confused?

As for me I clicked with Civ5. I liked the other ones a lot(except the weak CivRev) but something about Civ5 is just perfect for me.

I jsut accepted Skyrim as the ultimate exploration game instead of something being really intricately designed from a game standpoint.

 

I've experienced that feeling for Skyrim too. The only other game I feel the same way about would be Halo 4.

Skyrim was the 1st game that I purchased all (or any for that matter) DLC content for.

 

games do that for me also sometimes but usually nobody else likes them
