What's your favourite FPS ever?

I got bored of Killzone 3 and couldn't be arsed to finish it.

Resistance 3 though was just amazing. I love that game. It's one of my favorite games from last gen.

Currently I am having a ton of fun with Titanfall.

Overall though my favorite shooter is Call of Juarez.

 

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I've been playing it for over 6 years. I have over 50 days played. That doesn't include beating the campaign on veteran 5+ times.

I love everything about the game. The guns have the best 'sound' of any in the series. The maps are great. Small, but not hectic small. Every area has a couple entry points, but not so many that you are going to get shot in the back every few seconds.
The perks are fairly basic. You get to choose 2 perks. The killstreaks seem right. It promotes gun on gun. There is no need to camp for kills. Even if you get your 7 kill streak, there is probably already a line for the chopper. Every new release says
it's promoting 'gun on gun' but call of duty 4 was the best at it. Not to mention this game is somehow less laggy today than todays games are. There is no forced fake lag on the entire room to make the game better for the 3 people who aren't connecting well.
The host has a small advantage and that is that.

 

Borderlands 2 by some distance!

Borderlands 2 is a great game and was a serious contender for my greatest FPS ever, the reason it never made it is the fact that I didn't feel it was as stunning as KILLZONE 3.

I actually created a thread a while back asking if Borderlands 2 was the best game on Xbox360, it got a poor response which genuinely surprised me...

 

Borderlands 1 & 2 are my faves. You do know about the pre-sequel skins...right? (Shift code for Axton: KJWBTFFJK6TZXXZW63BT363FR) They have just the right amount of crazy weapons, fun fights, great humor and can still end up with a unique setup.

Halo:Reach was my online PvP fix, I liked being able to be my own Spartan, the Armor Abilities really changed the way the game played for the better (despite popular opinion), I still reach for Reach since I only rented a copy of it's kingslayer. Titanfall.

Yes. The Hype, believe it. Outstanding gameplay, and even as a non vs guy, I really enjoyed it. Within 5 minutes I knew I was going to buy it and actually said out loud:"welp, time to retire Reach."

 

Hard to break it down to just one as there are so many to pick from but

Time Splitters would be at the top of my list.

 

Halo here. Borderlands 2 bored me to death lol. I probably won't be playing the third one. I still see the appeal of them though.

 

Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I don't know what it was about that game but I played the hell out of it on the original Xbox and that beach multiplayer level was the best!

 

^I almost said RTCW, and when I tell people how great it was, I always tell them of the beach level in MP. It was the best, and will probably never be matched.

love the resistance series, and the halo franchise...maybe halo over resistance, but it's a very close second.
