What's with all of these updates?

I hope I'm not the only one getting a new 400-500mb update every 3 days. Otherwise my console must have an issue.

This is getting a little ridiculous. Is it tied to the preview program or just constant patches for the new dashboard?

Would really love to be filled in on all this.

They should put update notes before each update so you know what you're installing.

Are you participating in the Preview Program? If yes, then we are all getting these updates to try to fix problems/issues with the NXOE.

If not, then it might just be Microsoft pre-loading consoles with the update preparing for the November Update, so the servers don't get bogged down when everyone is downloading it.

GODtheSniper is correct.

If you are part of the NXOE program, as outlined in the coverletter -- You will receive two updates a week anywhere from 300-600MB.

If you are NOT part of the preview program, it may be Microsoft slowly rolling out the NXOE dashboard data to the public consoles.

It sounds like you are in the preview program. If so, release notes are in the Preview app, under Announcements, and also in the preview forums, under Update Notifications (Here). If you are tired of the updates, you can opt out of the program through your
app, under Registration.

If you're part of the Beta program you should post all related conversations in the Beta Forum http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/beta-2013/default.aspx

Remember you agreed to a Non Disclosure Agreement when signing up and that means no talking/discussing about the Beta in any other area other then the official Beta Forums

You can't get out. It's part of the process, you agreed to help them test stuff, and such, they often update the console.

I just assumed the updates were in preparation for another redesign of the dashboard. Once we get comfortable with the setup it seems MS feels the need to change it up.

What's with all of these updates?
