what's the worst thing you've done in the name of gaming?

1- I believed gearbox about aliens colonial marines even after duke nukem forever.

2 - Thought Cod ghost was going to change up cod.(spoiler alert, it didn't.)

3 - broke a controller.

Thats about it.

 

I have think this over a long time. Iused cheat devices when cheating was cool and there was no online on game console system yet. I used a game geanie on the NES and SNES in the days.

 

^ But it was the only way to turn the sweat red to look like blood in the Snes version of Mortal kombat.

I have another bad thing, I broke into an old Gorf machine and took all of the money,,,,,,,,,

 

Sold my SNES, all my SNES games, all my Sega Genesis and CD games so that I could buy a 3DO. (when it was new)

consequently, I did not end up buying a 3DO,(thank god) and held out 6 more months and bought a Playstation1 instead.

(talk about dodging a bullet)

 

I bought a add on for Sims 3 Pets before I bought the game, then I forgot to buy the game.

 

Well I'm getting a little older now (started with atari 2600) and have done some strange things over the years. I've forgot most but some I recall:

.

- booked vacation days to play games (don't recall every calling in sick)

- brushed off the gf / cancelled dates to play games

- woke up at 5am on weekends to play counterstrike with a friend before his wife / kids work up

- spent $600 on a crappy computer to run a neverwinter nights server for a friend

.

Some things I can proudly say I have never done:

- stood in line for a launch title or console release

- pre-ordered a game (they are always late anyways and quicker to just go on day of launch)

- signed up for facebook just for a $3 credit on xbox

Now that I think about it I dry off and get dressed in front of my X1. At least I know the NSA won't check back in on me.

clearly you know they are not watching neither do you care if they were.

 

Dedicated 3 full months into Halo Reach without playing anything else.

 

I spent £1000 on a PC so I could register a modem to get the original Xbox online, it was the only reason I bought a PC and got an internet connection, this was in 2003.
