whats the point off zero point achievements

i use alot of the tv apps on xbox one but was is the point of the achievements apart from people knowing you watch 4od for 4 hours?

My achievement points for Super Street Fighter 4 went from 860 to zero overnight. What happened?

Users who got the Xbox 1 Day 1 Achievement and I also got a YouTube Achievement. But getting 0G for those achievements is kind of ???. Xbox 360 never gave me achievements with 0G it was at least 5G for all achievements. Some achievements unlock special avatar
awards (on 360).

 

only 0g points score i saw on 360 was for cheating in superman

 

There were a handful of them for games on the 360. I remember Halo 3 having a few Vidmaster achievements that were all 0 points. A couple FIFA games had achievements like "Quit 5 Times online" and "Play as a 5 star team online" that were worth 0.

 

@Smile 360 games had lots of games with 0G achievements. Your selection of games is just limited so you wouldnt notice them

 

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand had a great 0g achievement.

"Not Bulletproof" for dying on Easy. Laughed so hard when I unlocked that.

 

0 GS Achievements are for "Application Discovery". During testing phases for the Xbox One, users were more likely to continue to learn about the app they were using when they were unlocking achievements. (Basically it is a Gold Star for those who are first
learning) Made them less frustrated. Personally, I do not like them, and do not want them.

If they actually added value to my GS no doubt. But 0GS for using the NFL app? Doesn't make it my experience any better. When my mother was using the NFL app, and she popped off the achievement all she said was "what was that for"? I told her, and she
said "Ok, cool" and moved on. She did not care. But that was just a small sample size. But from what majority of my friends say, they do not care about them either. Again, just a small sample size

 

The real question is whats the point of achievements they serve no real purpose.

 

I don't mind 0gs achievements. I just like the sound it makes when they pop. That's probably why it's been my text notification sound for the last 5 years lol

 

Achievements are a integral part of majority of the community. I love them. Though sometimes they are misused. Games like Assassin's Creed implementing Achievements for their mediocre MP is awful. But they are awesome in my opinion.

 

But apart from being awesome, what purpose do they serve?

Getting any g's whats the point?

Getting 20G for Drawing 200 sticks in Max Curse of the Brotherhood, whats the point?

I agree its nice when they popup but if they were removed I wouldn't miss them. (i know a lot of people love them though)
