What's the minimum size TV I can get to enjoy 1080p on Xbox One?

The reason that I think gamers tend to sit closer to their TVs as opposed to simply just watching a movie / TV is because of the risk of failure when gaming.

Watching a movie / TV doesn't require the viewer to do anything but sit back and enjoy the experience. When gaming, you need to take in a lot of important information so that you won't die a lot when it comes to completing your mission / objective

I actually game on a 24 inch 1080p tv, because that is the biggest that can fit in my entertainment center. Also it depends on a persons budget as well, which I was happy that I only had to pay around $170 after tax for my tv.

I'm going to go against the flow here, I recently picked up a 50" for gaming and sit about 2ft away, looks awesome to me lol.

I also have a 40" in the lounge for TV which I sit about 4ft away from that's great too.

 

I sit about 4 feet away from the 32 and it's awesome, I played cod on the 55 but sat a few meters away and almost threw up though that's the case with any console and a larger tv. Anyway, I have one of those old person recliners so it's very comfortable.
At 1080P I'm barely seeing a difference with the XB1 and PS4, they both look spectacular.

I have a 40" TV and it is perfect for my set-up

Also, I use to have a smaller TV (20" to 22" give or take) and it seems that I found FPS games to be easier on it than my 40" TV. I am used to my 40" TV already, but I just find this to be weird LOL

Does anyone else perform better on a smaller TV when playing FPS games?

I game on a 24 inch monitor and love it (fps cod junkie). Sports games when not playing competitively is a blast on anything 40 inches and up, as well when you play any game offline or story mode.

 

anything below 50" depending on viewing distance you wont notice the difference from 720p and 1080p, so if your getting under 50" and are sitting between 5-10ft away i would get a 720p tv.

^Nope, the difference between 720p and 1080p is clearly visible, if you cant see the difference between a DVD (even on an upscale) and a native Blu-Ray you wanna get to Specsavers pronto.
