Whats the difference?

Between Microsoft Xbox, Xbox360 and now Xbox one, do they have some things in common?

Can Xbox360 Game discs work on the Xbox one?

Has the Gold Membership payment increased the value or decreased?

Is the System Upgrades so important to the company or to us gamers?

360 and ONE are both made by Microsoft.



The ONE is the latest machine that launched in November 2014.



The XBox 360 can only play XBox 360 games. The XBox ONE can only play Xbox ONE games. There is no backwards compatibility.



Gold membership costs the same for either system however I believe that the XBox ONE will allow your friends to play online if the game supports it. The XBox 360 will only allow your friends to play online if they have their own LIVE account.



Not sure about it being "important" but enough people were interested in obtaining a ONE and playing the games on offer that it sold 3 million boxes so far.



I've got one and it's fun.

 

Xbox 360 can play some specific games of the Original Xbox, but honestly, you're better off buying an Original Xbox and play all the OX games you want on it rather than being restricted by Microsoft.

By the way, Xbox Crystal looks way cooler than the Green Xbox (Halo) or the Black Xbox (Standard).

 

The Xbox One is not backwards compatible which means that it won't run 360 disks.

The cost of Xbox live is the same.

The amount of interest towards which console is better is subjective.

The Xbox One offers a plethora of new features ranging ranging from graphical upgrades to having the ability of watching TV while you game.

 

My Samsung LED already does this.

I'm guessing there's a ton of HDTVs out there that do it too but people just don't know it because they haven't used all of its features.

Unless it is a particularly dialogue heavy section I can usually follow both.

 

So you watch TV via PiP whilst playing a game, seems strange to me, and that's coming from a strange person like me...

 

I can't even imagine doing that. I might listen to music while I paly a game but if I;m watching TV Im watching TV. I dont think I'd dont id be able to play half of my video games and watch Dexter at hte same time. Or even Subbed Anime.

 

The only show which would work while playing would be either Arrested Development, My Name is Earl, Malcolm in the Middle, Dragon Ball or a few other because normally it's just distracting.

I always have a movie playing on my laptop if i am playing racing games.

I find the droning engine noise on its own puts me to sleep.

 

I always listen to the games I am playing, if I want to watch TV I watch TV, if I want to listen to music I listen to music, but I do have the TV on in the background whilst surfing the web...

 

This thread makes me cringe.
