What's the best way to get a full refund because they removed snap?

Hi. I bought the Xbox One specifically for the media hub options it had and especially for the snap feature. I even bought games just for using snap with like Diablo 3 which was perfect for the feature. Microsoft removing snap is like you getting in your
car one day and finding that the manufacturer came over night and took the radio out. So please tell me what are the best options for returning my console for a full refund. The system isn't what I bought now and it can't do what I bought it for. Very disappointing.

Oh well time to get a refund then, I only bought the Lancer because they were being permanently removed. SO since that was a lie. I can get a refund

 

Question about asking for a digital refund

if you ask for a refund can you get one? if the billing department grants you a refund if they are aable to will they also be able to remover some game score achievements or reward points you got from that game. Make sure everything is refund and their
is no hits by the enforcement team that you are cheating or requesting refunds for othe uses. I hear of people getting refunds but also worrie your account can be in jeopardy by the enforcement team if you do ask for a refund. I wish you could trade in a digital
game like you can a disk at GameStop even if you don't get full price. I want to ask for a refund or credit for a game I don't like at all and would love to use the funds toward other games I really want way way more but don't want to get my account in trouble.
So what's the policy can we ask for digital refund or not or should we. I just want to be clear before I try because I donhear of some people getting refunds for games they played and don't like.

 

My team lost the Super Bowl. The only reason I went was to see them win. I want a full refund for my ticket.

 

Xbox replaced Snap to improve multitasking, reduce memory use, improve overall speed, and free up resources going forward for bigger things. It’s not clear what those “bigger things” are just yet, but rumors have suggested Microsoft might opt for some type
of picture-in-picture mode to let universal apps run alongside games.

Also to answer your question, if you purchased your Xbox at Walmart and kept the receipt, you have a week to return your console for a full refund.

 

Not sure you could with something like that, features/functions are subject to change. That being said i feel your pain, i lost the ability to use snap what seems like an age ago with being part of the preview program, i fed back to them my disappointment
about it but nothing else you can do. Ive heard they may be replacing it with an alternative but who knows if it will happen or when, here's to hoping it comes back in some form

And them removing snap to "free up resources" is completely irrelevant. I bought the system BECAUSE of the features that it had. Now they've taken away those features. And just recently a MS executive has stated that they have no current plans for a picture
in picture mode(which would be stupid anyway).

 

You are asking for something that has nothing to do with Snap. You purchase the games to play the games. Your reasoning for getting a refund for the game you purchased is invalid.

 

What? Do people here have terrible difficulty with reading comprehension, or something? I want a refund mainly on the system BECAUSE SNAP WAS A HUGE SELLING FEATURE OF THE SYSTEM FOR ME. But a refund on everything would be ideal.

 

Everyone here can read just fine. It's just that you're asking for the impossible over something so ridiculous.

 

On what planet is it ridiculous (or impossible) to get a refund for something that doesn't function as advertised? And I'm sorry but if someone read my posts and thought I just wanted a refund for a game they obviously have terrible difficulty comprehending

The console functions as advertised. The ability to snap apps was just a feature which Microsoft has the right to change or cancel at any time based on the terms of service you agreed to. They won't refund you because of that and chances are you've owned
the console too long to get a refund from the retailer.

 

You can only get a refund IF your console is under it's 12 month warranty which comes standard with new genuine Xbox consoles. Your warranty only covers faulty hardware. It does NOT cover customers who are not happy with Microsoft Updates or the UI.

Microsoft updates the UI on Xbox 1 every moth. Just like they update Windows 10 every month. Maybe they'll fix it with the next update or 2.

Why did Microsoft for Xbox 1....

- Bring back voice messaging

- Allow you to change the dash background

- External HDD support

- Backwards compatibility

- Play Xbox 1 WITHOUT Kinect

- No mandatory 24 hour Xbox Live connection checks in order to play Xbox 1

Because they listen. But just because they listen or care, doesn't mean they are obligated to make changes, unless it upsets a fair number of people. If it upsets 100 people, they'll likely consider it. They don't work off a % number of the total who play
on Xbox, cause that is in the millions (10 [million] at least on Xbox 1), as that is barbaric. 100 unhappy customers is bad for any business.

I think they certainly tried to mimic what Xbox 360's U does when you hit the home button while in a game or video app. But I'd like the ability to play a game on the main screen with YouTube in a smaller display on the screen <- This is multitask. And Xbox
1 does have an EIGHT CORE processor. Also their Beam broadcasting section takes up too much dashboard space. A lot of people likely don't wanna use it. Also with Power Options, it should offer a (1) full shutdown option so that it's 100% off (2) standby, put
Xbox in a lower power state to do background updates (3) Restart; without having to go into MORE options. Otherwise people get fed up. You want to turn off your console, sure! QUICK and easy way turn off the power at the wall.

I do like the way they have mimicked the Xbox 360 UI (I've been playing Xbox 360 since late 2010 and still do along with 20+ million active users still on 360, Xbox 360 STILL has more users on it than on Xbox 1, if anyone wants to prove me wrong, link me
some solid evidence). But if several people on here complain on this site, and some of these complaints are coming from NON FORUM REGULARS, they need to be aware and attentive.
