  1. What's the best TV brand to game on?

Anyone have any thoughts on what the best TV brand for video games is? I can't help but think my Xbox One gaming experience would be more enjoyable with a bigger, better TV. However, decent sized TVs aren't cheap and I want to make sure I invest in one
that will make the most of my Xbox One gaming experience. Anyone have any thoughts on what TV brands may be ideal for Xbox One as well as what type of TV (LED, LCD, Plasma)? Appreciate any and all feedback.

    :)

  2. Smart or not?

Samsung is one of the best brands in the TV business; my brother would tell you not to get any other brand. What's the best TV brand to game on? ;)

  6. I have a phillips 32 inch LCD TV,and its great.

I had a sony bravia prior to this one and it was just awful.

I think there comes a point when a TV is too big for gaming,if you have to turn your head to see each side of the screen, you have gone a bit to big.

    -

You also shouldn`t really use a plasma screen to game on ,due to possible screen burn,LCD doesn`t have this issue.

[/quote]Plasma tech has come a long way. You would be hard pressed to find plasma panels that have image burn in. Because of this fact, plasma has become the enthusiast's choice in tv tech the last couple of years or so. I have a Sony Bravia and the thing
is junk. I must have gotten one of the lower end models or something because Sony's LCDs used to be among the best. If the one I got is any indication of what Sony's panels are now, then their quality has truly sunk into the sewer. Samsung makes some great
panels, and I hear great things regarding LG's as well.

You can't really go wrong with any TV, since there's only one manufacturer of screens. However, you'll need to ensure the TVs refresh rate can handle what the apps/games you're using, which means I'd get a 120Hz system, just to be safe. Most rarely go past
    60Hz.

    .

You will also need to pay attention to the number of HDMI inputs. Some people can get by with 3, but I needed 4 (and the XO's HDMI input is NOT a pass through!).

    .

You can buy a $40 HDMI switcher on Amazon if there's a great TV deal but only has two HDMI inputs.

    .

I own a Samsung 50" and I realized that there is such a thing as being too big a screen. Be sure to adjust your seating position the larger the screen, our you too may experience a weird vertigo sensation.

Either an LCD or LED television. I have a cheap Soniq brand LED tv that does the job, it even does better than certain well known brands I have seen and gamed on.

I play on a 37" Panasonic LCD. I can't really play on anything bigger as I play alot of FPS Online Multiplayer games and I like to have everything in view without me having to move my head much. Haha.

I've played on alot of Samsung TVs that were really great as well. If you're in the market for a new TV, make sure it supports HD. It makes a world of difference in graphics.
