What's So Great About "We Happy Few"?

So the internet has been telling us to be really excited about "We Happy Few" and I have to ask myself...

WHY?

"It's dark and edgy"? "It's got a "Clockwork Orange" feel"?

Slightly cartoony graphics in a "Dystopian world"? It could be "Dishonored" without the stealth.

It's ironic that people take pills to give them the impression that something that's really kind of bad... is wonderful.

The Police wear clown masks but when it comes to the hype for this game... are we the real clowns?

What's stopping you? We aren't FORCING you to play Black Ops 2. Go play what makes you happy.

 

I thought it looked kind of intriguing. Not sure I had seen much telling me it would be good or be excited. And I cannot say I am overly excited but would like to try it.

 

I know what you mean. I'm thinking more of the way they tried to hype it up at E3 with everyone saying how "excited" they were for "We Happy Few".

 

It's got that Bioshock look about it. I'm in. It's on my list of day 1 purchases. I saw a trailer at Gamescon last year and that's what sold me.

 

i got the same Bioshock vibe from it, while it's not in my top 5, it is in my top 10.

i personally think that it will get a lot of praise upon release, but not sell that well.

 

Procedurally generated survival game. With a great look. I'd like to play it.

 

Yup, definitely had that Bioshock feel to it so that alone makes me want to play it.

Don't get me wrong, it's not my most wanted game, but I can see why people are excited for it....

 

It seems to have quite a uniquely creepy story to it. That alone will have a lot of people wanting to buy it.

Myself, not sure at this point if it's for me or not, but I'm intrigued.

 

I havnt talked with the internet about it, but the game has a nice look (I like the Clockwork orange vibe) and an interesting premise. Im not drooling for it, but Im definately interested.

 

Had my eye on this before E3. Just looks like the sort of game I can immerse myself in and enjoy the story I think this will provide.
