I was gonna buy a wii u but until another price cut I don't think so. I wish next years e3 they would reveal the gamecube 2.

[/quote]Genres means type of games to me, they do have games, but they are mainly shooters, racers and RPG, hence the mention of limited genres, I will also add that they have limited franchises too, but I do agree that they have SOME good games...

 

Genres means "types of games". To say that they have "no genres" equates to "no games in said genre" equates to "no games". Explain as to how Microsoft has "lack of genres" as opposed to competitors. They all are fairly the same, the only difference is that
their exclusives or genre specialties are strong points for people who like specific genres, and are not a detriment to the products.

 

@Wilko No mater how much you try say there isn't genres besides Shooting Racing and RPG supported on 360, proving you wrong is very easy.

Since you like to bang on about JRPGS, if 360 gamers brought JRPGS then there would be more JRPGS on 360. As it stands, Sony gets free exclusives and it's thanks to the 360 community. MS tried and I supported them by buying Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia,
Blue Dragon and Infinite Undiscovery new. Quit shifting the blame because you have something against MS.

 

Perhaps people don't buy them because they are not available...

 

@Wilko Perhaps they are not available because sells of earlier JRPG EXCLUSIVES were abysmal? Did you do your part? I did mine. Or maybe you are saying later Tales games only release on PS3 for fun or that Ni No Kuni is a PS3 exclusive just for kicks lmao.

JRPG and other niche genres are not really available on Xbox because Microsoft can't make as much money as they like from them, that's why Xbox gets so many mainstream games, Microsoft has NO interest in games or gaming, they just want to make money nothing
else.

And before you say it, other companies want to make money too, but at least they have a vague interest in what their customers want, and not just what they want to give their customers...

Microsoft tried giving us JRPGs and delivered two EXCELLENT big budget games that were exclusive to the Xbox and they both failed, and acquired a few third party exclusives as well. They did not make money and here's a little bit of information for you.
You need to make money to in order to PAY the developers to keep making JRPGs. The fact is, the Xbox has never and will never be a market for JRPGs and while it'd be nice for Microsoft to make more, I think they should focus on other genres. Nobody will ever
support their RPGs because they have it stuck in their mind that the Playstation is the home of the JRPG and wont even give the Xbox a chance.

And you can't entirely blame Microsoft either, third party developers have made some effort to put JRPGs on the Xbox as well. Most of them have given up, because again THEY DON'T SELL AND YOU NEED MONEY TO MAKE GAMES. Square is still trying with Final Fantasy,
and the Xbox version still doesn't sell like the Playstation version.

JRPGs in general are a dying breed. We don't see them much anymore in general. Not like we used to.

EDIT: Hell, since you also have it stuck in your mind that all we see are remakes, Squares remaking Final Fantasy X|X-2 and they wont even put in any effort to put it out on the Xbox. That really says something, especially when Square seems to be supporting
the Xbox with non-traditional JRPGs like the FFXIII trilogy and Kingdom Hearts.
