What's old is new?

I don't see anything wrong with re-releases. I'm sure it's already been mentioned that it gives people who never played the games a chance to play them without having to buy an older console. Plus everyone else can enjoy them again. And MS makes money. Win/
win.

:)

I feel it's something that is over-discussed. HD remakes do absolutely nothing for me.

5.
The only games WILK0 really cares about nowadays seems to be JRPGs, as I've seen him post that in other threads, which XBox 360 lacks in.
I am also partial to TBS, RPG and Survival Horror.

I actually like all genres of games, but after 11 years on Xbox playing mainly the same franchises over and over again due to lack of choice I jumped ship and quit most genres, I find JRPG to be deep, rewarding, value for money, humorous and unique, and without
wishing to sound like a hater, there are not many games being released on Xbox that I can say that about.

I know many people think I dislike Xbox, but I don't, it's Microsoft I dislike, and I dislike them because they turned their back on the people that made their consoles a success, people like me, people who bought multiple consoles and games brand new on release
day and told their friends about the consoles, games and service, and what did we get in return, a crappy UI, Kinect and a focus on anything but games...

6. For one, if you want JRPGS, handhelds are the way to go.

-

Second, I'm still trying to figure how the 360 lacks any games. If you want to be specific, yes, it lacks JRPGS but I wouldn't call the PS3 a bastion for them either.

7. I never play JRPGs so if he is right about that then that would make me wrong on that genre but to be honest i'm not familiar with JRPGs and probably couldn't name 3 without googling them.

Well, on the 360, we have Final Fantasy, Tales of Vesperia, and Lost Odyssey to name a few.
You named three old ones, there are many many more on PS3, with many many more on the way.

And sure you can name maybe one game from niche genres on Xbox, but one game is not supporting a genre, everyone knows the Xbox is limited to Shooters and racers, with a few RPG thrown in, but that's about it, it is now a casual console that is about apps and
advertising, you can deny the fact all you want, but you would be simply deceiving yourself.

There is a reason that people are leaving Xbox in droves...

10. There are tons of RPGs, just not JRPGs. Mass Effect use to be exclusive, Dragon Age series, TES series, Dark Souls, Fallout, Dead Island, and more but those are just off the top of my head.

-

We talk about exclusivity, yes Microsoft is the go-to platform for shooters and racing games, but that is a positive, not a negative, just like how the Play Station is more of a go to for more Japanese RPGs. The only case where this is slightly bad in my
opinion is in Nintendos corner, they don't offer much in 3rd party stuff, and when they do, in my experience they're crappy ports.
I was a huge Nintendo fan, but they have not gave me much to shout about since the GameCube, there are some good games out for the DS and 3DS, but nothing much worth buying for their full consoles, which is a great shame, and unfortunately Microsoft
are following them down the same road, but Microsoft don't have the financial security to tide them over if Xbox One is not a complete success...

12. They're nowhere near Nintendo in my opinion, they have TONS of AAA third party support.
Nintendo have the money to take a console failure, Microsoft do not, Nintendo have franchises that appeal to gamers all over the world, Microsoft only really appeal to western gamers.

I think Microsoft are more financially vulnerable at the moment...

14. Microsoft has a very, very big foothold in the western market. While I said that they are nowhere near Nintendo in lack of AAA support, their situation is much the same. They will need a lot to "die" in North America, and they have almost all the games
the majority of North American gamers want, and thats all that matters.

-

To say Microsoft has no games is purely wrong, plain and simple. They have plenty of exclusives and 3rd party AAA support. It would be more accurate to say they have no games I want to play.

15. Hey Wilko, congrats on taking my post out of context(and ignoring my previous one). I just giving examples to Yellow what some JRPGS are.

-

Second, the X1 or Microsoft isn't in some dire situation. Anything resembling a niche genre is across the board and more likely to be seen on the PC Indie space.

-

and lastly, you want JRPGS, get a handheld.
