    Whats is up with the xbox 360 no private chat or party chat?


    Recently we are not able to connect with party chat but xbox one we can. The problem is we have family across the country that are not able to go to xbox one yet. This is wrong if you pushing everyone to xbox one, we still own 3 360s. My son just went
    to ps4 and his ps3 is till working. So what is going on?

    What is the difference between party chat and private chat? Why isn't private chat on Xbox one? (I have xb1 but not 360 yet)

    Its sad how much mulitplayer gaming has changed on live over the years!

    For the people moaning about party chart even before party chat xbox already had private chat. I would rather be in private or party chat talking to people i know than listening to randomers there is nothing wrong with party chat. i think its a good feature.
    i think there are alot of people that would rather speak on the head set if it is friends or fam they are speaking to..

    Yeah, the in-game chat is what I'm talking about. Party chat and private chat work fine.

    You can private chat with players on the 360 while on a PC through Windows Live. But that's a One on One chat even with a Gold Membership. But they may just scrap Party/Chat entirely if they're going to try and hype Skype up.

    in game chat..... party chat and private chat will still work the same... just the tech for it is based off of the skype infrastructure .. which is why BC chats from the XB1 to the 360 is not possible

    Hey there,

    Party chat is where you can have multiple people in a chat, talking, at the same time. Private chat is where it is only you and one other person. This makes it more private for you and the other person as you can not have more then two people in the chat.
    This will be between you and a friend only.

    As for why this feature is not supported on the Xbox One. In short, I don't know. This could be because of how many people used the feature or how the feature worked. If you would like this feature on Xbox One, then you can make a suggestion on the Xbox

    I want to know how you all can chat ban someone when they are in a private chat playing bo6? Also how do you get chat banned when you don't have a headset hooked up to the controller?

    private chats are monitored too, the reason I NEVER use any chat or party chat on xbox.
