whats going on ??

I made a whole post on this actually. Proof of what they did to machinima for making fun of them on youtube. they ddosed machinimas website for a few hours so far I dont know how long it will be. It happened at 11PM and its 12:20 AM and its still down. they
posted about it on their twitter so they are obviously somewhat dangerous. if xbox goes down on christmas, they better get caught.

 

There a bunch of tweens with nothing better to do, taking credit for obviously issues with a service to up the status, to takedown Microsoft azure would need to go through other companies that protect from ddos attacks, all this sounds a little fishy and
may be just coincidental, since xbox live went to azure for the one it has been more unstable.

 

They seem to be affecting the forums as well, unless that's just maintenance, but it's been having a lot of problems, I personally haven't had any trouble signing in the past couple of days, but is there anything even being done about it?

Yeah but here's my thing. I was online at 1am and then I was signed out/disconnected. Tried to reconnect, couldn't, but my tablet and laptop were up so, meh, it's a Live issue. I Googled "Xbox Live Status" because it takes me to downdetector (I should just
bookmark it but whatever) the top Google hits were the official Xbox Alerts page (no information of services being down) and just below that it was Google returning the Twitter account of the defendants, these Lizard people from out of space (AS NEWS) with
the headline Lizard Squad on Twitter: "Xbox Live #offline".

Since when is a Tweet frickin' news? lol downdetector shows what people are talking about across the web in relation to the service. So the Facebook messages and Tweets were all "What's going on?" and "Anyone else's service down?" "y me no get cod?? microsioftt
shud diee!!!1" Then piddling little click bait no-name websites started picking up the "news" of the claimed hack... then on downdetector showing Facebook and Twitter it all became: "Lizard haxed my wallet wth oh noes!"

I went to bed. Woke to The Independent online running the story of the "alleged" hack with "no confirmation" from Microsoft. <-- this is not news. It is nothing. =)

"Today's top story... Actress Megan Fox and forumite are now dating according to a Tweet by . His Facebook page confirmed the story, where he said, "We met and had a two-straw hanky-panky (a huge shared cocktail) and we just hit it off."
A close friend of said in a Tweet, "I think they're going to elope.

Ms Fox is unavailable for comment but until she does this is all true so, factual actual news... spread it, my flying monkeys of the webs, spread it!"

If Xbox Support, or Larry Hrbbyrble, or a "Microsoft representative" comes forward and confirms it. Then its news. Otherwise its just a service and website going down for a while. (Not uncommon) and the website came back up with a nifty looking new front
page. lol

So, I'm not saying these script tards didn't do anything... I'm just not going to walk around assuming they did because Google returns Tweets as news, and apparently everyone thinks a Tweet is a reliable source.

Where at the same place mate. I'm not saying to fully believe it, but don't be so naïve to think the service is untouchable as well, that's where I'm at.

Though, like I said. If they're legit, we'll see what happens around Christmas time.

 

I won't be around to see it my friend. They can do their worst. Megan and I will be spending Christmas in a Austrian retreat. All log fires, wine, and wonders for me this year. *rolls eyes*

yeah they brag about it on face book and have threaten to do it again on christmas. so I hope xbox is prepared for it and stop them.

Looks like I might be in the minority. I haven't had any problems of any kind.

 

Wasn't able to do much when it happened. But the odd thing is, my internet was acting up around the same time too, so I didn't even expect it was a hacker group.
