I see that it's just a game and being someone else is good fun a lot but it just isn't in me. I think maybe in part it's because I don't feel particularly constrained by much of anything. There are some I wouldn't mind helping along the path to becoming
living-challenged but I really resent anyone trying to push me in any direction. In D&D terms I am and will always be chaotic neutral. At least I did have the choice to destroy the Brotherhood which was more than I got for the Blackbriars.

47 times? You were a persistent devil weren't you?

Spoilers for "Bound Unto Death" in first paragraph.

Yes, OCD when it comes to missions I suppose. I sniped from every imaginable location in that courtyard with very good sneak and buffs... I was always noticed and ratted out by someone, and the crowd set upon me like white on rice. Once I tried shooting
her from up on the wall, I quickly realized there is an option to nudge that loose sculpture and viola!! Goodnight Irene.

I think the only life path I won't eventually take in this game is being a vampire, and it's more about seeing the irritating "Vampire Lord" loading screen seemingly every time I go through a door or load a save, than any lifestyle judgements. IMHO the single
most abhorrent, revolting and just plain ugly apparition I've yet to encounter in gaming. My girls hiss at it like Jake from "Avatar" when he see's Quaritch in the final showdown, lol, I just want kill it with extreme prejudice, and I think back fondly to
the occasion whence I dispatched the evil and despised Harkon.

I'm looking forward to dispatching Astrid this go through also. I actually did a couple times my first play through, but eventually that skin tight maroon suit of hers persuaded me to follow.... What you want to see in The Elder Scrolls VI :) Men are, afterall, simple creatures at our cores.

So you must've sent the old hag from the orphanage to Hades, to be able to wipe out the Brotherhood? So you can have murder in your heart (in game of course) if properly stimulated.... I felt a little bad at killing the old bat too, but rationalized it thus,
those kids needed the other lady living there to be their care-giver and benefactor... and would be much better off without the daily whippings not to mention being half starved.

  3. I avoided the whole ugly mess until I wanted to complete the unusual gems. There is one in the Dark Brotherhood lair so I had to start that one. I can kill the ones that need killing or are trying to kill me but I got to where I keep Kyne's Peace charged
and shout all the critters into deciding to leave me alone.

The thing that bothered me most about Skyrim was the base pettiness of so many quests. There was very little evil (and what there was I couldn't touch) and entirely too much torment or kill the innocents for my taste. In Oblivion, the Dark Brotherhood at
least began with people who were in need of removing from society (I didn't finish that one either) and the thieves quests wanted me to steal things not play dirty tricks on rivals to prop up one of the real evils in Skyrim. The main part of the thieves guild
I had no trouble with, it needed to be done; but it is probably telling that I never restored the guild to it's former glory. I may be chaotic neutral but I usually fall on the side of the light.

Is the vampire lord the bat thing? I get him a lot, too and wish I didn't.

LOL! I never found it hard to oust the old lady at the orphanage. Must be the kids. I never even had to do away with Astrid as she gets her just rewards. It took me 4 plays to do the wedding thing. Not really sure if I actually enjoyed any except Alduin
and the priest guy on Solstheim. I do however feel the need from time to time to deal a severe head blow on some of the wise cracking guards. Funny sort of game.

  5. BTW, there's another thing I dislike when it shows up in a game and it has in the last 3 editions of Elder Scrolls. I refer to quest-locked items, like the unusual gems. These things can be in dangerous places, they can be located at the end of a quest but
only a single dungeon or maybe a misc quest, they should still be there if you just stumble into the cave/ruin. I couldn't complete Fire Breath because the last word is in a Companions quest and you have to go through the whole questline to get it. That ruin
is inaccessible unless you have the quest. That's not fair.

I also didn't like that quest locked thing. They could have made that somewhat better in my opinion. Kind of forces you to do it their way or take the highway thing. Forces more of that needless killing thing on us.

Yes LadyB, that bat thing with wings that look like half eaten buffalo wings... how can he fly with bones and skiin tatters for wings?!?! I hate that thing! haha

I've always maintained that the Stones of Barenziah quest was there to "persuade" the player to experience a wide swath of playable experiences in the base game, you have to be a member of Thieves Guild, DB, College of Winterhold to get three of them. Well
not a DB member but you have to whack Astrid or join her to get in that place. Pretty sure you can sneak and get Kodlak's without being a Companion. I find this irritating as well, as I don't care to be led around by the nose. But like any good Marine I'm
mission oriented, so when I get one I'm compelled to complete it, or my Cheerio's just won't sit well.

Yes, I snuck in to get Kodlak's and I agree that the quest was intended to move us around the map and I don't mind that at all but I should be able to complete that quest without having to start any other and you must do the Mages at least up to Sarthaal,
you must do DB at least until you meet Astrid and you must buy Proudspire to get a complete set and, you must join the thieves to get Vex to talk to you. For all that you get so many gems it is laughable. Remember how hard it was to find a flawless Sapphire
early when you get the quest in Riften (only to discover it wasn't worth the effort)? I have a couple dozen flawless sapphires in a strongbox. I have long since gotten over needing gems for anything.

  9. I wanna see better interaction for guild's, I just recently busted my butt for 3 hours trying to get the final markarth job and become thieves guild master only to have nearly everyone still treat me like im a newcomer. It's insulting when im wearing the
    guild master armor and whatnot.

    Armor and weapons

the armor are mediocre The worst, is with 1000's years of mastering the smithing arts, the orcs create the worst armor and weakest weapons. lol Also, the weapons and armor were weak, most looked mediocre.

Seriously, Skyrim should of had great looking weapons and armor. instead they were mediocre.

Last I checked, it was better than iron.

The armor in Skyrim looks better than in any other Elder Scrolls game ever.

  12. I have to agree JimBob. Any armor you wore could protect you as much as the game allowed and, while I thought the low level armor looked a bit cheesy everything else looked really good. The only thing I wanted in armor was the ability to make the helmet
invisible or skip the helmet without looking like a football player. That worked out though in Nightingale and Vampire and even Elven looks good on a female character without a helmet.

You killed the bride? :0 I suppose you killed Parthurnax, too? Bad, bad man.

I do agree about the dirt being excessive. I think they must have swung too far in the other direction from the fancy clothes in Oblivion. Oblivion always bugged me because there was no decent pants for women and Skyrim just carried it further with the over
sexualization of the women's clothes. You know the foresworn were only there to have an excuse for scantily clad people of both genders. Did you notice the ladies get stylish black undies in ESO.

Yes! Have things with a gravity that is upright would be very cool.
