What you want to see in The Elder Scrolls VI

Absolutely! That's where I wanted to go instead of Skyrim. I think that's why I started the beta in the Dominion.

I couldn't get into Fallout quite as much as Elder Scrolls but it certainly would be good to see what they do with a next generation version.

And lessons would be learnt from that for Elder Scrolls.

No, I barely got off the island. I was kind of holding back the exploration need since I didn't know if I was equipped for it. I wasn't sure either where or how far I could go. The start is in a Khajit village and it looks so nice with it's buildings on
stilts. I will see where I am allowed to go just in exploration if there is another beta.

I have a $10 promotional credit on Amazon and am dithering about how to spend it. I was thinking of the expansion for Diablo but then there is also ESO for the mac. Both require me to sit at my computer though. I was thinking of checking out the new version
of Diablo today but my hip was hurting and I couldn't sit for long. My elderly cat sometimes crowds me at night and I feel it next day. What to do, what to do.

 

I honestly think it would be a greater adventure than it already is if they would add an online element to it. I think it would be fun and helpful to quest with other people in the world and be able to trade supplies. I also agree that more spells for the
other magic classes would be cool. I understand that the Destruction class is the probably the most widely used class, especially in combat (obviously), but I hardly use the other classes because there are not very many things that interest me in those classes.
I think that's about it. If I think of anything else, I will come back. Plus, I am very interested to see what other players have to say and will be back intermittently throughout the life of the thread, probably.

With TESO it is and they fixed the group sharing thing. We were trading items while in group the other day. The only thing we noticed was that everyone had to start from the beginning of the quests so we were all in the same phase of it.

 

It would be cool to have the companions act and fight better. So many times Lydia are someone else would get lost or stuck in a rock or something. A hardcore mode would be sweet but really hard. I would like to be a villain too and have the story arc completely
different than that as a hero. Skyrim's inventory system was good but would be nice if it was more streamlined and faster to find what you want. Some kind of mail service to send heavy or unwanted gear to your house would sweet, make it costs 50 gold or something.

 

Lol! I wanted the "Mail" to be free but you do have to put something for "Postage" as it is. I didn't try it but, your supposed to be able to send items to folks through the mail system. I tried but not sure if it went. Only put 1 gold for postage and the
mail went somewhere. Didn't get a chance to verify delivery though.

 

I always thought that would be a good angle for a more political story where both sides have valid reasons for their actions and having decision points where you could change sides. I always kind of wanted viable stealth missions, ones where you are spying
and the information you gather (or fail to gather) makes a difference to your cause; or maybe sabotage or thievery where you don't want to kill anyone because you would fail in your objective. The last time I did the Goldenglow mission in Riften the only deaths
I caused were the bees and I wouldn't have killed them if I didn't have to. I used sneak and invisibility and lockpicking.

I agree TLB -- it would be great to have a seismic shift in the way games represent consequences. Hardware power has increased and file sizes are astronomical compared to the millenium era games we were playing 14 years ago. Ergo, I'd have expected some
fantastic progress. If anything games have gone backwards (more power ups, more respawns, and less consequences for running around like an idiot) compared to some popular games of yesteryear. While I am sure that developers are following the money, I can't
help but see stagnation.

 

Yeah, they seem to have been going for the lowest common denominator. People want to fight, we'll give them fights! People don't care who they kill, let's make it so they have to kill innocents! While we're at it let's rope them into doing things they don't
want to do just by being somewhere! You know, my mage never set foot inside of Markarth and the archer went the long way around to get to the palace so she could fast travel there; but she still had to walk into the murder. Sorry, I, seem to have hopped up

I am officially finished with Skyrim. The Archer finished all of Neloth's tasks and then defeated Miraak so she has nothing she has to do. She doesn't feel compelled to level up for a legendary dragon since the mage did all that.

What I want in an Elder Scrolls VI is an announcement date for it's projected delivery. Next year? The year after? They had better not think that ESO counts in the time sequence. 2016 would be 5 years which is the time between Oblivion and Skyrim.

Well, darn, I just looked at the wiki to see what date Oblivion was released and saw that there was a stress test of ESO today. Previous beta testers could jump in but they didn't announce it.

 

IIRC, the first whispers of what would be become ESO were, what, 2008? 2009? (edit: uesp says late 2007 so I'm in the ballpark). Allowing for the fact that I know "-" (aka zilch) about the inner workings of Zen/Beth, I would tend to think they would be
on track for the usual timeline for release? Releasing ESO for the PS4/Xbone, oooops, Xbox One) should be a good sign as they now have in-house, production experience with this generation's hardware. Here's hoping anyways.

So I was looking at game music on youtube and I think I have to go play FF XII again. I really wish it would be remastered like they did X. I love the look. It's interesting that this FF and Morrowind were my gateway games. I loved everything about them.
I played them at the same time though Morrowind was much older and suffered by comparison to FF XII graphically speaking.

 

I'm all for new content but, I'd like to see them remaster Morrowind. I never got to play that one. I'm not real big into the cartoon graphics. Oblivion being my first RPG on my old X-Box. Everything else I've found to hold my interest has had the higher
end graphics. Story lines are okay but as I've heard some of you say. The un-warranted killing scenes are sometimes tough for me to swallow. Then again some of them may be to draw you into the "some one needs to stop this" routine.
