Curious if this is for the base system. I'd have to assume they will mimic the success of the X and S models and maybe launch for a cheaper alternative too?

The Series X reveal certainly is different, but I'm sure Xbox has a very good reason for doing it this way. I mostly just want to see the price and lots of cool looking games at E3

The fact alone leaving traditional HDD behind for SSD (NVME) which greatly reduces heat and possible mechanical failure chance makes me look forward to the next generation (naturally my hope is replacement will be easier than in current model XBOX consoles
due to the more finite life span of SSDs) and a well working SSD wear indicator app.
