What Xbox One Game Slapped You In The Face This Year?

You've never read a "Dan Brown" novel.

I've never been able to finish one.

 

I held out from my beloved COD for over a month and a half before I caved. I knew I would dislike it..but I couldn't fight it any longer. I absolutely hate jet packs, invisibility cloaks and lazer beams in COD. Combine that with skill based match making
and it is just no fun at all. I actually want to rank up and go for the unlocks/camos...but the gameplay just isn't fun like COD normally is to me. I put over ten days into almost every COD dating back to COD 2. I don't think I'm going to make it to one
day in AW. If Treyarch brings back the halo hop in the next COD my gaming days may be numbered.

 

Destiny. I'm tired of grinding the same strike missions in a desperate attempt to getbettrr gear.

 

I'm going with Destiny here!

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing it through with friends but so disappointed with the story ( if you can even call it that ) and while the Strikes etc were fun at first I just found before too long it became boring doing the same over and over.

 

This year every game sucked, one way or another. Titanfall, Destiny, Watch dogs, Wolfenstein, Assassin creed, Call of duty, Fifa/NHL and so on. Big hype and no actual value for money, just empty promises. Destiny makes fine example, game was cut pretty badly,
and rest of the original game is sold for DLC. BF4 and GTA V are by far, the best games, and they were released 2013. I also know that BF4 was horrable at the start, but now it works fine. 2014 is worst game year ever, i hope next year we have better and interesting
games.

 

For me its destiny. as a long time bungie fan, it was a shallow experience that had everything wrong with games today in it. double RNG systems, grinding, collecting materials, *** rewards for beating raids (i did the hard raid twice and both times got 6
energy and the same legendary ship and that was the final straw, i quit playing at that point) lack of content, no story, no characters anyone would give a dam about. After all the great work with halo, bungie *** the bed on destiny.

 

@Domestic- Somebody finally said what I have been feeling lol. 2014 was completely horrible for my gaming tastes. Absolutely nothing came out that I liked and its the least amount of titles I have ever bought in a year. The only games I am playing now
if BF4 and GTA.

 

None, because it's Thursday 1st January 2015 4:50 pm NZ TIME and it's the summer holidays for Australia and NZ. Woo. I think it's winter in the US, lol.

 

The year just started and I have not played any games from this year so none.

 

I didn't buy it for Xbox One but I felt a huge slap in the face by Ubisoft after I played Watch Dogs.

Dishonorable mention: Call Of Duty Advance Warfare what a huge slap to the face.

 

Halo mcc. The game is so broken still. It's been such a disappointment.
