What would you like to see in an Xbox One Slim

Me personally would love to see a ARM co-processor handle installing games to the hard drive, greatest thing about the Ps4 is I dont have to wait a hour to play.

A design that allows vertical and horizontal placement. A normal removable
2.5" hard drive.

atleast he could design stuff I still can't believe current MS workers could design the X1 so bad.

Also remove the HDMI imput, its worthless, the quality is terrible, dual output would be nice but the X1's APU is too weak

Xbox One Slim?

Anyone wondering when Microsoft will announce the xbox one slim version. It would be nice if it had a solid state drive. What do the Xbox community think of this? Anything you guys would like to see in a hardware update (slim version)

Sorry for the wall of text, not sure how it happened...

 

Personally, I don't have any real problems with the X1 design and I've always seen later "slim" releases and other later and cheaper redesigns as being mostly gimmicks. I've never set a game console vertical and I'm thankful that I'm able to plug in and
use almost any external hard drive I want with the X1.

Unless it is a game changer, I just can't see myself shelling out money for a cheaper gimmick "redesign."

 

Larger hard drive, more USB ports with 1 on the front. Very happy with everything else.

 

I like the HDMI on and HDMI out ports. It can be useful it also what allows you to hook up your Xbox 360 to it and TV cable boxes or if you have a PVR.

What I would like is MORE USB ports. Upgrade it to 4 or 5 but I don't think you'll need more than 5. When I joined Xbox late 2010, my Xbox 360 slim console (still have, working kwl) has 5 USB ports. Also standardised at least 1TB HDD consoles. 500GB isn't
much space and out of that only about 370GB is usable by us then we have to go out and fetch an external HDD.

I don't think any future Xbox 1 designs will have major hardware revisions like a different processor or RAM. Otherwise you would have to call it Xbox 1.2

The Xbox 1 is a bit of a behemoth. The disc drive is made by Philips. Microsoft sources third party manufacturers to make their console. The disc drive isn't designed to function vertically unlike Xbox 360. Mind you hot air inside the console needs to rise
UP through the large vent slots and the giant fan inside. You may get better ventilation laying your console flat. Mind you I think the competition only has 2 USB ports on their console. And place some of the USB ports in a FRONT flap. The side and 2 rare
ports can be a hassle to get to.

 

Full 4k output more usb bigger drive and a coffee maker

 

More robust and powerful system allaround. And get shed of AMD and go with chipsets which can handle anything this gen of gaming can dish out and then some.

If that should happen then perhaps even I would purchase ONE.

 

No more disc drive no one needs that.

It will be a fully operational 4K console that's for sure.

 

I'm sure most of us would like a super powerful console that would handle anything, it's just the price tag people wouldn't like.

 

Love for them to make a reliable console that has a working disc drive. No reason the Xbox One disc drive should fail in a year if it downloads the game to your console!!

 

The console is fine the way it is. The only thing I'd like to see is a larger internal hard drive put it in.

 

The ability to project holographic clowns is ALL the Xbox One S needs.
