    What would the results be if I attempted to use 2 xbox wireless dongles on the same pc?


    I plan to run a long video and usb extension from my pc to another room and floor. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using 2 wireless controller dongles on the same pc? 1 in each room I wouldn't expect the controller to be paired with both.

    Based on the Xbox support article, it says "With Xbox Wireless connections, you can connect 8 Xbox Wireless Controllers at the same time, or 4 controllers that have Xbox Chat Headsets attached. If the controllers have Xbox Stereo Headsets, only 2 can be connected at the same time."

    You actually only need one Xbox wireless adapter to connect multiple controllers. If you want to use two adapaters in one single PC, it may work but if it confuses the system, you must unplug the other one.

    That wireless gaming receiver only works with 360 controllers, not Xbox One controllers. The Xbox one controller uses a different wireless protocol.

    If you have Bluetooth for your PC you can pair the controller and use wireless this way. If you don't, you can buy any BT 4.0 USB dongle and connect using that. The dongles cost no more that $8.

    Or you can buy the official Xbox One wireless receiver for Xbox One controllers.
    Ahh, that explains it, thank you very much. Unfortunately I don't have Bluetooth inbuilt in my PC, but I can definitely buy a dongle. Does it need to be specifically a BT 4.0 dongle?

    I've never had any issues with connecting via Bluetooth. I haven't used a wireless dongle but I assume it would work the same.

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like you're trying to get a Xbox 360 controller to work on your pc. How is this controller connecting to your PC? Is it a wired controller or wireless controller? If it's a wireless 360
    controller there is a wireless dongle that would be needed to have the controller work on PC. Please let us know.
