    What will come of the original app?


    So if you have seen the future features of the cloud gaming app, you know that you will be able to chat with friends and see if they are online, but this is also some of the key features of the original Xbox app. So I wonder what will come of the original.

    Just for the sake of it, the term apps or appz originated from pirated software and warez. Nothing to do with apple, apart from making a profit out of something that already existed, what a surprise coming from Apple ;)

    I never had a 360 so can not share an experience with the original app. I dont believe there was any solid source confirming nor denying it coming to the Xbox One. My personal thought was with it originally being on the 360 and a PS4 app being announced
    that it would be coming to the Xbox One....hopefully.

    Ben, this is interesting because what you are experiencing is a bit different/opposite of what the rest here see. You have no sound on the dashboard and sound is ok in the original game you are playing, whereas what most see seems to be no sound in 'some' games and apps, but full sound in the menu/dashboard. Having said that, I bet it has to be related. There is something about the type of sound signal coming in and out of the HDMI interface that is different for the menu and some of the apps. Hoping to hear more of what others are seeing.
