what we really need

We need a weather and pop up weather stats to let us know of our weather in our area I know most of us play or watch movies in stereo so we don't hear our cell phones but with a weather warning pop up that would help.

We really need some answers!

I have gone thru the motions with support. I have also sat on the phone forever with billing. I have been escalated to the point where i have my own personal advocate (which has failed to contact me). There should be no reason why I have been denied access
to my gold membership since Saturday the 15th. This is day 4 and i have grown beyond irritated and entering the realm of spiteful. I was hung up on the first time. The second person told me that this was the frist time they had ever seen a specific error code
even though posts date back to 2011 on the same issue. Told i would be contacted by an advocate to help me thru this and nothing. With all of this time i have now maybe i should build that trebuchet and send this useless piece of plastic back to the hole from
which it came. Its been fun and all but honestly if there is no resolve, nor any attempt to acknowledge those of us still affected, my xbox days are over. i can see that there is no such thing as customer appreciation other than throwing a few dated games
at us for free here and there. They will take your money and apologize with a smile. Yet if any of us contacted them to say "yeah im having technical difficulties paying you right now" there is no option youre account is shut down. Another classic case of
big corporations showing the public that whats good for the goose is not even an option for the gander. Absurd!

 

How many accessories do we really need?

I honestly hate the idea of all of these crazy accessories. I am a traditional gamer and all I want is my box that plays games, a tv, and a controller. I don't need a camera for motion control. I dont need a move controller, I dont need any special controllers, I dont need any special headsets, etc.

 

Or you could look out the window??

 

This might actually be coming when Microsoft integrates Windows 10/Cortana into the Xbox One.

Sounds like a good feature especially if you live in an area that gets frequent tornados.

 

That would be cool. I don't know about needing it.

 

It would be nice to have a local weather app. Message pop up for severe weather would be great. We get plenty of tornado watches and warnings in my area and that would be a plus to have.

 

I use intellicast weather app for iphone and android for weather radar and storm tracking.

 

I get what cat is saying though..Your relaxed kick back on a Friday night night playing (insert your game here)Wife and kids are sleeping and you have your TB's on...All of a sudden a summer pop up T' storm is a brewing(happens all the time),,would be pretty
cool if it did pop up to warn you on the screen during play..I know i'd appreciate that..

 

What do you guys use your phones for? My phone has 20 different alerts popping up at any given time for all kinds of stuff. Just prop your phone near you and you'll always know what's going on.

 

I think the OP mentioned that he doesn't hear his phone when he's engrossed with his Xbox One.

But yes. We all get weather bulletins, Amber Alerts (US Only) and everything else under the sun that the powers that be want us to know about.

 

It has internet explorer which can be used to check the weather

 

I don't need one. I know what the weather will be like here without checking. It'll always be cold and raining.
