What type of usb is on the xbox 360 4g hdd

The type of USB that the Xbox 360 consoles use is USB 2.0. If what you want is a USB device to save the data on your hard drive, I would recommend the SanDisk brand. It is mostly the one I use regarding how it would be repaired. a hard drive without losing any data, I have no idea how it would be done but I could leave you a page where they explain how to perform these steps.

we cannot assist with self repair.

It is a 4 gb hdd internal storage for 360 slim, not a 360 slim hard drive which is plugged on the side. the internal storage which is plugged into the xbox 360 motherboard and It is connected to what I can only call a wierd usb which I have never seen before. I want to know what that is an upon request I could send a picture of the usb thingy

That is correct. the 4gb Xbox 360 is not an HDD but Internal Flash Drive. It's essentially the same as a USB Flash Drive plugged in on the USB Ports.

Verdict: since my original gtag 1 was never online i have to use a transfer cable to transfer profiles from my original rrod hdd to the current xbox.

Problem: the transfer willt be a full data transfer not partial, from my original 60g hdd to my 4g slim. NOT possible.

Solution: purchase xbox 250g or + HDD, replace 4g hdd with 250, purchase 1x slim to slim hdd transfer cable, transfer current profile from 4g HDD to new 250+HDD. Purchase Xbox360 original hdd to Xbox360 slim hdd transfer cable, Transfer profile from original
360 hdd to 360 slim with new 250g hdd, merge profiles

providing I remember the password.
