    What type of ban is give for selling in game items for real money?


    I just found out that selling in game items for real money is against Xbox code of conduct. I do not plan on doing so but am curious, is this one of those punishments that is bannable after multiple offences (griefing spamming, inappropriate language),
    or can get banned even if it is the first time getting caught doing so (hacking, cheating, ddosing, selling gamertags). Can one get banned even if they are a first time offender and have done nothing wrong in the past?

    The type of ban would be up to the enforcement team. It could be just a suspension or it could be a permanent ban.

    Yes, anyone can get banned on their first offense.

    Why dont they fix this broken automatic enforcement

    Offering to buy/sell/trade real life currency is not permitted including not limited to gift cards, real money, accounts and other possessions but can you show me somewhere in the TOS/COC that does not mention a real life item? Its not against the rules. Trading ingame currency for a item(using game mechanics) is not mentioned only real life currency and items.

    Yes,selling anything over xbox live is classed as "solicitation" & a bannable offence https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-GB/home/staysafe#topic1

    The only time it is allowed is if a game has a in game exchange & you are buying/selling in game items for in game currency,not real money.
