What to do when I scratch some of the numbers off the DTSX activation code

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. Is the activation related to redeeming a subscription for Xbox, such as Xbox Game Pass, or entering a 25-digit code?

If so, and if the code is damaged or you're unable to read all 25 characters, Microsoft recommends using the Code Assist bot on the support website. When you start the chat, simply enter "damaged code" in the "Your question" field to get connected to the right assistance.

Note: Take a picture of the front and back of the card, and have proof of purchase such as a picture of the receipt.

Hello if card wasnt activated at store you would need receipt. That would show proof that you actually purchased the card. If the activation code is one receipt you would still need it also to use. If the card was scratched off and you tried to use the code
number what did it say when you input it?? Did it state it was already activated? Did it give some kind of other message???

If it was a scratch off code, when you redeemed the code what was the message? Did it say it was not yet activated, or perhaps it said it was already used?

How rigerously do you have to scratch off the silver part of a code card to scratch off the code?!?!?
