What to do about constant freezing on dashboard and in apps/games?

I've had this Xbox One since just the 12th that I ordered new from Amazon. Kinect-free version. -- Anyhow, it does make noise. It isn't too horrible but it concerns me. I ignored it and carried on. Things were alright at first, but it didn't take long for
things to begin freezing on me. I started having to hold down the power to reset. I disconnected everything to let it rest as well. It still continues to freeze. It will freeze while I am trying to play Destiny. It will freeze on Amazon Prime, Netflix, Twitch...probably
everything. It can allow you a minute or maybe 30 depending before each freeze up. I can usually jump back to the dash, but it freezes soon after. I can bring up the controller/system shut down menu but it usually does not work. When it does, the power button
seems to blink endlessly after shut down. The normal power downs are blink free on that note. --- What's the deal with it? Please help.

Dashboard Freezing

I'm a X1 preview membe and since I updated to the new dashboard I've had constant problems, mainly to do with the Home page freezing up and unable to play certain games installed on the hard drive. Rebooting solves the problems for a while but the problems
persist.

 

Freezing during gameplay

For some reason, my world has experienced constant freezing whenever I remove and add a block. I do not know if this is a common problem. but I do not know what to do.

 

Hi Cat. Sorry to read you're having troubles with your XBOX One. These are unusual issues. Since they are happening across different apps and just in general use, I'd recommend returning it for a new unit. They are normally problem free but you seem to be
experiencing a lot of issues that seem to be of internal problems in the unit itself. Please keep us up to date. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

 

Thank you for the reply, BinaryXtreme -- I figured so as well, but was/am pretty confused with it. I did contact Amazon and may be sending it out for an exchange. I have a little while yet before I have to do that so I wanted to fiddle with it a bit more
and see if there was anything I could do. I called tech support again too a bit ago. Looks like I've tried pretty much everything now I think. Thought I'd check here and see if anyone else was having this happen too.
