What To Buy

I would recommend DAI. It is by far the best of the four in my opinion. The rest Im conflicted on. I enjoyed all of them, but they each had issues. ACU was really buggy and I just finished it a couple days ago. If you get it you might want to hold off
for another patch or two. It was still a fun game though. Sunset Overdrive is like the Dead Rising series took steroids. It was fun and new, but became repetitive to me. Destiny has the same problem. Its repetitive and lacks the amount of content you
would expect. You spend most of your time re-doing the same thing over and over ad nauseam. For the first twenty or so hours it was great. Then it got old.

 

@ Lost, you really saw a review that complained about that? I loved that it wasn't the same.

Play the game on hard. That's the way it was meant to be played. The game is brilliant and really intense. Alien: Isolation is totally worth it.

 

Yes, that was in the IGN Review. They didn't use those exact words but more or less that was the "Reviwer's" complaint. I was floored by the stupidity of it when I saw it. And yes, I'm playing on Hard.

One thing I noticed funny with it though. The Motion Tracker and it's beeping got me killed more often using then without. I like to go more by "character" alone and listen, look for the Alien. Casually walking away from it with
it right at your back is one of the best feelings. Just keep saying, "doo da doo, you didn't see me or hear me".

 

I found that the more I played the less I used the motion tracker. The beeping sound got me killed a few times.

If I hadnt have heard so many bad things about ACU I'd have already bought it, played it and completed it.

But I've heard about bugs, that its a game killer, have these bug been fixed with TU4?

Is it a good game and the only rhing holding it back are the bugs?

At the moment DA:I is still pretty much full price everywhere £42-£49 Amazon and Grainger Games.

I can get Sunset for £30 and Assassins Creed Unity for £25. Destiny and Far Cry are out, FC just looks like a open world Call of Duty (and do i not like that!!!!) is out, not interested in Aliens. Considering The Crew, but at already £22 is that indicating
a flop of a game?

Far Cry is nothing like Call of Duty. That's a slap in the face to the game developer. You're missing out on an incredible game. Your loss, it's a pity.

 

So whats the deal with ACU? is it a good game but bugs holding it back, and did TU4 fix them?

 

ACU was good game. I wouldn't even say the bugs held it back that much. Its just that they are there. I finished it this week and had the game kick me back to dashboard a few times. Lots of frame rate drops(most in any game I can remember playing). Had
a few invincible enemies. Nothing game breaking, but still more than I would have liked. I picked up the game for $30 though so I can deal.

 

Ok, I have purchased Sunset Overdrive for £30 from Argos. ACU was £27 on the 30th went in today and it was £47 :-/

 

I got Sunset Overdrive because it reminded of Borderlands, and that it has co-op, really looki g forward to getting into it when I've played some more Mordor and finally finiahed installing Halo MMC
