What the? I can't use money in my MS account to buy anything!

I still have 1938 NTD in my microsoft account, yet when I want to buy some games, your system didn't deduct the money in my account first, instead it just bill the whole amount from my credit card! Whether I buy anything more expensive or less than the amount
is irrelevant (I tried each and both failed), There is no options that I can switch or boxes I can check to use the money in my account, so It's completely different from what you specify. I demand full refund!

Can't use Microsoft points/points missing from account

My points have been missing from my account for what I believe to be a month now. They are still associated with my account, as I've discovered, but I can't use them to buy anything. Has anyone's points reappeared since MS began converting them to real money?
MS support just keeps telling me to wait, rather than be of any real assistance. I wanna buy stuff, ****!!

Elaborate on what you mean by "when you can't buy anything" - which specific issue are you referring to? I'm getting the "Use a different way to pay" error regardless if I try to use the money in my MS account or a card by itself.

 

There are several reasons why this would not have happened.

1. Your gamertag's region (country) is different from the currency.

2. You're attempting to purchase items from the website using an OS lower than Windows 8.1.

3. If attempting to purchase from the console or the website using Windows 8.1 or better then you didn't highlight the payment field to select the proper form of payment.

If you would like to request a refund of your purchase then you'll need to contact phone support to explain the issue to them. You can reach them at 00801444231 but Taiwan phone support is only available from Monday to Friday so you'll need to wait until
then.

 

Thanks for the fast reply. I was just too mad. I did purchase the items from my computer using Win7, which didn't show the option to pay from my account at all. I'll try to contact phone support next week, but you should really include these exceptions in
the announcements and notification letter to avoid further chaos.

 

Hello, i m having the same problem... i want to purchase a game using the credit i have in my account first then using the credit card... i ve contacted the support today in italy and after some checking, they adviced me to download again my profile and
clean the cache.... but nothing works. So they will contact me next week from another office to try solving this issue....

 

On the 360 choose the credit card. An option will then pop up asking if you want to apply the credit to the purchase.

 

i have this issue on xbox.com too. The promotional balance is not an option
