What the hell is up with this game?

Yesterday, the game was just fine. Could do well, have close games, could often get a 2.0 or better K/D, or at least a 1.5. Matches and gunfights seemed fair, if a little short. (Every single gun in the game with few exceptions could use a damage nerf, or
players need about 130% health. Gunfights are too quick and the EXO use is limited because you just drop dead too easily)

But today? In less than 4 hours I went from nearly a 2.0 K/D to just above .80 K/D. Average K/D was almost -11 or -15 every game. Only one game I went positive. I couldn't win a single gunfight, ever. Even with a headstart. My explosives were practically
confetti - I watched a Frag *** bounce a guy, explode in his face and he lived, without Flak Jacket. People surviving ridiculous Shotgun blasts.

It felt absolutely ridiculous. Every single game, my team completely crushed. It was absolutely crushing and not fun at all. Its not like I suddenly got crappy at CoD or at AW in one 12-hour shift at work.

What the hell is up with Microsoft this new update is a load of tosh why is the buck passed to us to sort out network settings and opening ports and such, I cannot connect to any game servers like I used to, unless Microsoft sort this issue out about no
one being able to connect to game servers properly with us the consumer faffing about like headless chickens then I will be selling my xbox and Microsoft products, and to top it all off I have followed all of their advice on setting up and my network and ip address
appear as in the final process already and it still won't let me connect to anything. MICROSOFT SOMETHING HAS TO BE CHANGED PRONTO!!!!!!!!

Or playing against much higher skilled opponents who use team work.

 

It's the main reason why I quit the CoD franchise 2 or 3 games ago. Not only has it never been addressed, it got worse with every new game. After all these years of success and all the money that the franchise has made over those years, the fact that they
have yet to integrate some sort of dedicated server in some capacity or another is not only short sighted, it's down right shameful. I'm not saying that dedis are the answer to all the problems, but it would greatly improve the MP experience by at least allowing
everyone a fair chance to compete on a more leveled playing field imo.

Lol this guy again. I remember you complaining about every other CoD game and yet here you are playing the latest one. I'm sorry. Just find it funny.

 

Every other CoD game? The only ones I really harped on were MW2 and MW3, for sheer awfulness. I consider CoD4 one of the best FPS games ever made, WaW was alright, BOI was okay, and BOII was enjoyable if flawed.

Ghosts I didn't say much beyond "This is absolutely terrible". I couldn't because making fun of Ghosts was actually too easy and kind of embarrassing it was so bad.

Right now, I consider Advanced Warfare to have only 3 real problems - two of which I had the same issue with in BOII.

- Damage is way too high right now. All weapons (mostly Assault Rifles), need about a 25-30% damage reduction. There needs to be actual gunfights and the ability to USE the EXO in combat, not just dropping dead almost instantly even if a headshot isn't involved.
There are a few weapons that are fine and shouldn't be changed - the MK14, EMR1 etc. are fine.

- The lag comp from the launch of BO2 is back with a vengeance it seems. The game is wildly inconsistent, even from round to round in the same lobby.

- The game needs some pretty hardcore party restrictions. This pubstomping crap has to stop. Just because you have people to play with doesn't mean you should get a free pass to stat and pad make other people miserable. There are more than enough people
playing this game to make Parties only play other Parties, and keep Pub matches Pub matches.

 

Quite enjoying the game tbh.My only real issues so far are the f'king god awful spawns but they'll be made somewhat better in time.

 

Across all the games you mentioned my k/d has avg between 0.4 to 0.75. Even in private lobbies, with friends, or with anyone else. I not seeing the your problem.

 

It happens. Sometimes you get in games were opponents are a lot better than you. or sometimes there is just lag

It happened to me earlier. went from a few decent games to losing badley.

What's needed is dedicated servers which would have happened if this game was exclusive to xbox. But as it's not exclusive we have to put up with activisions p2p matchmaking system which more often than not links me up with people in Germany and other European
countries which doesn't help with lag when i'm in the UK
