  2. External HDD

Yes External HDD support is available. The External HDD must be at least 256GB in size and use USB 3.0. Keep in mind that the External HDD will have to be formatted for use with the Xbox One console.

Xbox One Hard Drive Full at 362 GB

How can you tell exactly how much and what is on your HDD? Sure you can make assumptions. With Xbox 360 you have easy HDD access via settings. True they will need to bring out external HDD support preferably next year. Didn't know the OS and other resources
would need over 100GB of the consoles HDD. Too me that's a little excessive. And it's a 5400rpm HDD not a 7200rpm which has a faster read speed and non-replaceable. Might get a 1TB Seagate external HDD when they bring out support for it. Hopefully you can
install updates/add-ons to external as well because those file sizes could be bigger than file sizes I've had to deal with on my Xbox 360 Slim 250gb console.

I was told there was a cap: 16TB for each of the 2 HDDs you're allowed to attach to your console. This means you can have a maximum of 32TB (2 external HDDs) and 500GB (1 internal, non-removable HDD). Despite the limitation, that's still a lot! In fact,
it's 64.5x more space than what you have with the Xbox One now!!! *mind blown*

Probably only 1 Terabyte that should be more than enough space for me. Maybe 2 Terabyte depends on price and how many games will fit on the Hard drive.

  6. I've gone an bought a 4TB seagate HDD for the one which I think personally will do me for quite sometime.

By the time that fills up HDD should be alot cheaper then and bigger.

Plus it might actually make me go all digital now as well now we will have the extra storage.

Maybe a 1-3TB Seagate one. Seagate is a common brand in NZ. I only have 9 games, Youtube IE and Skype, and only have 43% free on my console. Not to mention how BIG the game updates and Xbox Live console updates are on the Xbox 1, compared to the Xbox 360.

Think I may just pick up 1TB when I need it. By the time I fill that I bet 4TB will be dirty cheap and I'll be surprised if I fill that.

I have got an extra storage device that will be compatible with the XB1 but I'm just sticking with the 500GB that you get with the console ;-p

Even with all the games I play I haven't got near to running out of space. My saves are automatically backed up to The Cloud, if needed I just delete the installs to make room, if I want to go back and play an older title, I'll just spend 10-15 minutes re-downloading/installing
    again.

I appreciate though this could be a pain for people that haven't got the fastest broadband speeds, having to delete, then download digital titles again.

  14. At some point I'll have to get an external drive, and when that happens I'll probably go for a smaller one. Maybe an extra Terabyte will be plenty. Things like GW and COD will get deleted first though.

None the 500gig is good enough for me. I don't play alot of games at once. When I'm done I delete the game. If I ever decide I want to play it again I'll reinstall.
