  1. What should I do to report fraudulent charges?

I was charged for two different purchases that I did not authorize or was in any way involved in. I tried to contact Microsoft customer service chat, but they say they won't refund "my purchases" because they're non-refundable items. The problem is, I
never authorized these charges, I had no knowledge of their transaction, and I never used them. The only way I knew these purchases took place is because I was emailed letting me know purchases were made. What do I do to correct this? thank you for your time.

    :)

Hi, I know that Xbox has phone support via a callback system- there's not a number to call, but you can get signed up to receive a call back from a support agent. I believe that from the

    main contact site
, you can see if this feature is available for your region and issue. (You might also type something like "phone support" into the Virtual Agent if you're having difficulty with the other link there.) Phone service hours may vary by global
region, and availability currently may be affected by worldwide events.

Thank you for your reply. I've changed all passwords and opted to do the two-factor authentication. I hadn't set it up yet since I've had my account for years and years without issue. I tried going through customer service chat, but they seem to blame
me and tell me that the purchases are "non-refundable" but I was never involved in any part of the transaction at all; I was robbed and they're treating me like an irresponsible teenager. I live alone and I'm the only person that has access to my xbox or account
information (prior to this incident) I can't believe the terrible treatment I've received so far. Aside from going through chat support, is there a phone number I should call? Thank you again for your help.

If you feel that there was a possibility that your account was compromised you can try and talk to customer support about your account being compromised. and see if they can go that route for you.

What should I do to report fraudulent charges?

Hi, sorry to hear that happened. I would make sure to go through
    the following guide
if you are concerned that your account has been compromised. The guide also features the recommended steps to take in case there are charges on your account that you don't recognize. Unfortunately, support agents on this forum can't
directly handle account security matters, so if you do need to speak to a support agent again, you would want to do so via the

    main Xbox Support contact site
    .

Additionally, if you believe your account has been compromised, one step I might recommend in the future for additional protection is to set up

    two-step verification
on your account, if you haven't already done so. Hope this helps!

What should I do to report fraudulent charges?

I am sorry you are having troubles and I empathize. I got charged twice for a single game due to an error with the Store locking up on the approval cycle (Windows Security popup kept resetting with and internal error that still occurs). Because it was
automatically downloaded and contained Ultimate content, my request for refund was denied.

My solution was to submit the request again. While I could not use the all digital request process, I submitted a report. I also kept on contacting Customer Support via chat (that was nearly hopeless, but I finally made contact) and via phone support, both
using the call back and wait functions. I kept meticulous records via screen shots, history recordings of conversations, etc. I also contacted my bank and filed an invalid charge. My bank had me contact Microsoft (which I was already doing).

Finally, when all was said and done, my bank was the one that saw it was an invalid charge first. Microsoft finally came around via feedback on Customer Support saying they saw the charge was reversed.

I felt that it was important to go down both paths. Microsoft states they are committed to improving Customer Service and without feedback, they can't do that. I think we all understand that the quarantine has put a strain on the ability to provide Customer
Support, but that is no reason not to provide quality Customer Support.

We appreciate your patience and willingness to work through the issues.
