What Router should I buy for the Xbox One?

I have the BT Home Hub 4 and I have networking issues with Destiny The Game (Error Code: Bee) I have followed all suggestions to better my network and no dice. Wired was no better than Wireless or even the Powerline Adapters that worked with Call of
Duty Ghosts.I have read that the MTU (1480) is too high and that is the link with Packet Loss, and that the router is not built to support online gaming ports needed to work with Dedicated Xbox Live Servers, this means frequent disconnects. I am looking at
the Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router and it looks like it should be good for the Xbox One, Xbox Live, the 'Dedicated' Servers and Destiny The Game. If there is a router that everyone should own in the UK for Xbox Live gaming then please let me know, message

The Netgear Nighthawk R7000 should be a good choice for you as many users here report this as an fully supported UPnp router. So I'd definitely recommend buying this one.

 

I have the Netgear Nighthawk R7000 - I STILL get issues with Destiny: Elk, baboon and assorted other messages regarding connecting to a wireless hotspot. I am connected with a hardwire connection to the router.

That that as you will. Every other game I play online doesn't have the same type of issues.

 

Are you with BT Infinity?

Do you have the openreach modem?

If so I would recommend the D-Link DIR-868L

Open NATs straight out of the box.

There is a bug with xbox ones instant on mode where the NAT sometimes changes to strict requiring a full shut down or doing the multiplayer test then the 4 trigger trick. But I've found setting up DHCP reservation in the router settings seems to fix this

 

The problems with Destiny are usually not caused by NAT issues of your router but by the servers of Destiny and usually there is nothing you can do about it.

The BT homehubs 4's and 5's are the worst routers ever created. Disconnections in Destiny are extremely common in them even if there are no server problems. They seem to have a problem with activision games on xbox one, ps3 and ps4. So upgrading to a decent
router may well fix the OPs problems with Destiny as I've seen a post a while ago on BTs own forums where someone said they fixed destiny disconnections by buying a new router.

 

Yes, Malacath, I know that problem, but I was answering to the post from OneSmugPup who already is on a Netgear router and still experiences this problem.
